Objectives:The objective of this study was to find out the best testing method for the muscle strength test By correlating the simple muscle strength testing methods including grip strength, back strength and leg strength with the whole muscle strength which reflected by the isokinetic muscle strength testing system testing different parts of the body (back muscle, leg muscle, etc.) to compare the validity of the simple muscle strength testing methods, with the experimental research on the representation of the muscle strength test indicators of the"National Students Health Standard". Hoping that this research can provide reference to further research on the middle school students fitness monitor and exercise.Methods:60 gril middle school volunteers aged 13-14,15-16,17-18years, participated in the study. All participants come from the middle school of Hunan Normal University, no.1 middle school of Changsha, Taihu middle school of Wangcheng and Leifeng secondary school of Wangcheng.60 volunteers randomly divide there group.Used BIODEX SYSTEM 3 isokinetic testing system to collect absolute peak torques of six joints' flexion and extension.Then extracted the public factors with factor analysis and calculated the total factor score according to public factor contribution rate.Moreover,used simple testing methods to test grip strength,back strength and leg muscle strength of subjects.Calculated separately correlation coefficients between the total factor scores and grip strengths, back strengths,leg muscle strengths via Pearson Correlation Analysis,compared the validity;Results:1.13-14 year-old group:back muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0,804, P<0.01; leg muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.785, P<0.05; grip strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.697, P<0.05; the correlation coefficient is maximum between back muscle strength and the total factor, the second is leg muscle strength and grip strength last.2.15-16 year-old group:back muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.794, P<0.01; leg muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.766, P<0.05; grip strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.685, P<0.05; the correlation coefficient is maximum between back muscle strength and the total factor, the second is leg muscle strength and grip strength last.3.17-18 year-old group:back muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.824, P<0.01; leg muscle strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.805, P<0.05; grip strength and the overall correlation coefficient is 0.677, P<0.05; the correlation coefficient is maximum between back muscle strength and the total factor, the second is leg muscle strength and grip strength last.4. From this experiment, we find out that in the three groups the correlation coefficient is maximum between back muscle strength and the total factor, the second is leg muscle strength and grip strength last.5. The difference is significant between the dominant side and non-dominant side non-advantage side of Shoulder flexor and the ratio is 54%-58.5%.Conclusions:1.The Female middle school student's back muscle strength is maximum on the validity, the second is leg muscle strength and grip strength is relatively weak from simple strength test.2. The difference is significant between the dominant side and non-dominant side non-advantage side of Shoulder flexor. The development is imbalanced.3. The muscle strength developed rapidly among the age 15-16.It has the necessity to strengthen training and nutritional supplement.
