Iron ore is one of the important mineral resources in China, which has a very important position in the national defense and national economy construction. Compared with other countries in the world, China is a country rich in iron ore resources, but the exploration technology and far below the level of the developed countries, there is an urgent need to strengthen the exploration and development of comprehensive utilization of resources, technology research. Mineral resources and reserves estimation work is one of the basic tasks of mineral exploration; is to optimize the allocation of resources, the implementation of macroeconomic regulation and control, the formulation of national mineral resources in mineral exploration, development and production of an important basis for planning management; is the production layout reasonable planning of national and local mining industry, an important basis for national economic plan and the mineral resource policy. So the use of mineral resources and reserves estimation method is scientific, efficient is particularly important, it will not only improve the mineral exploration work efficiency, but also reduce the risk of mineral development, and ultimately to achieve better economic and social benefits.The traditional reserve estimation method is only suitable for the certain and specific form of deposit, the geological information of two-dimensional maps of the expression is not accurate enough, tedious process, fault estimation accuracy is not high, the information update slower have highlighted in reserves estimation based on the work, along with the rapid development of geological and mining information, 3D visualization technology and the continuous mining software application in mining, reserves estimation work to achieve the further optimization and improvement,become a major research direction in the future work of the calculation of reserves based on 3D technology. Computer aided intelligent, full, will work to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the estimation of reserves.The first 14 sections of the study area, analysis of the 71 borehole data, the hybrid modeling method to build the solid model of iron ore, and then through the Kriging interpolation algorithm is used to establish the block model, and then the surface model of boundary of the block model, the block model boundary treatment for a total of 6780 block element; through the statistical quality data analysis, we grade interpolation for each block, the calculated by the statistics of each block iron ore resources reserves of iron ore resources in the whole ore body. Compared with the traditional vertical section method of reserves estimation results, verify the scientific and practical method to estimate 3D visualization based on Kriging reserves, it will have important practical significance and guiding significance for further exploration and development of panjiatian mining area.
