As a kind of advanced processing technology in recent years, high speed grinding technology is always used in finish machining of the workpieces, which can achieve good accuracy and surface properties. A high speed grinding machine requires not only high speed motorized spindle, but the performance of the feed system is also particularly important. The capacity of the feed system to insure positioning, and performance of speed, acceleration will affects the contour accuracy and surface roughness of the processed parts directly. So the numerical transformation design of the M7130grinding machine feed system is very necessary.This article makes a detailed analysis and summarize on the pros and cons of the M7130Grinding machine.Compare several kinds of feed system driving element, we decided to adopt the structure of PMSLM to replace the original hydraulic cylinder to implement the transformation of grinder M7130high speed feed system.Firstly, the paper analyses the mechanical load and structure size of grinding machine feed system, after ensure the main technical parameters of the grinding machine, determined the style of the linear motor and linear guide model, and modified grinder structure to ensure the precision of the linear motor assembly. Then based on3D entity software PRO/E established the modification of M7130grinding machine, and import the finite element analysis software ANSYS to establish finite element model. Through the stress and strain program and modal shape figure analysis of lathe bed, table, the platform to install electrical, find the weak points existed in the modified structure, secondary to transform, make its final conform to the requirements the working strength, stiffness of the grinder.In the next part,the core components of the reconstruction which called PMSLM has been analyzed. The method to Optimize the PMSLM performance has been put out. Based on ANSOFT Maxwell, the electromagnetic finite element simulation software, we analyze the air-gap, the primary tooth shape and the secondary permanent magnet configuration of PLMSM. Combined with the results of the analysis for structure of motor to optimization design, the good results is finally achieved.The final chapter we mainly study the feed servo system and explore the control method of PMLSM. Then three-ring servo control system for PMLSM has been established by using the Simulink module of MATLAB software simulation analysis. Results proved that the design of servo control system has good dynamic characteristics and resistance to disturbance.In this paper, the research for machine tool feed system both include mechanical structure and the servo control system is made a more in-depth, the theoretical results can be for machine tool production in actual engineering or modification to provide powerful basis.
