Medicine is the special goods which is used for preventing and treating disease and recovering and adjusting the function of the body. Its quality is directly related to people’s health and life safety. However, the quality and safety of drugs is directly affected the environmental factors, in the process of drug production, such as dust, microorganism, temperature and humidity of pharmaceutical workshops, et al. Once there is the problem of direct and cross contamination, it will produce unpredictable medical accidents. In order to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical production, we should control strictly cleanliness, temperature and humidity and so on in the pharmaceutical factory. With the development of the air clean technology and the central air conditioning control system, the central air conditioning system arises at the historic moment, specifically for pharmaceutical environment requirements. With the rapid development and mature of computer technology, automation technology and communication technology, the Programmable Logic controller(PLC) has been widely applied to the control of pharmaceutical workshops air conditioning system, which greatly improves the degree and efficiency of the system.In this issue, we have designed a set of central air conditioning automatic control system as the control core of Siemens S7-300 PLC for the clear requirements of pharmaceutical workshops clean area in the Han Jiang pharmaceutical group, and detailed analysis of the demands of users for clean air conditioning system of pharmaceutical workshops in the control, thus realizing the effective control of the cleanliness and environmental factors of the pharmaceutical workshop, such as temperature and humidity and so on. So as to realize the fault diagnosis of the system function through the fault detection, fault alarm, fault handling and fault type and location display module, and combined with some possible abnormal situation of the actual operation in the pharmaceutical workshops. And greatly improves the speed of fault finding and elimination and the return to normal operation.The system modular programmed the control function of the system by Siemens STEP7 programming software V5.5, and simulated and debugged the various modules of the control system through the PLCSIM simulation and experiment simulation platform. The system verified that the design of central air conditioning system in all kinds of control functions are reasonable and perfect. From the point of the actual operation effect of the system, the system not only can meet the control requirements for cleanliness, temperature and humidity, but its fault diagnosis can also effectively avoid the company of loss and risks for the equipment fault.
