The unsatisfactory employment among graduates of secondary vocational school and the high school boom from university expansion have led to the fact directly that the quality of students of the vocational school have dropped year by year. Meanwhile it is difficult to reach the nticipated result in teaching activity. It is imperative to reform the old system in it. In this paper, the difficulties ,specially those in cooking teaching , have been analyzed through the investigation on present situation of secondary vocational education. On the other hand, an innovative method has been proposed,which is suitable to the characteristic of cooking teaching and student's study requests. It is helpful to solve the problem such as the poor knowledge basis and less interest in studying cooking theory. The innovation can not only raise students'independent study consciousness but also develope their innovation ability by reforming the teaching conduction in class, strengthening the experimental task and the interaction between teachers and students. In fact, since long ago, people have aimed at the development of concious study of the student. But traditional cooking teaching has paid more attention to'how to teach'than'how to learn', neglected the influence that individual factors (sex, inteligence, motition, manner and so on) brought. This article discussed how to enhance the teaching effection as well as the student's independent learning capability via experimental task. At the same time, heuristic teaching method must be used to guide the students to participate in the experiment. In one word, all things should be tried to excavate the students'potential ability in order to provide the knowledge and skill reserve for their sustainable development.The thesis is divided into four parts.In the first part, according to the quality of fresh source and the present situation, many problems existing in cooking teaching have been analyzed. The necessity and feasibility being carried on in teaching innovation have been proposed on the accurate investigation about students in secondary vocational school.The two part is about the basic principle and theoretical foundation innovated in teaching. In this part, the feature and the connotation have been analyzed in detail. It is proposed that teaching innovation should aim at how to train the students to learn independently. Moreover all these innovations must use the existing education resource reasonably to train talented people for society's sustainable development, and should be carried on under the instruction of the construction principle theory.The third part has described the essential conditions and innovative ways to implement in cooking class instruction. This part elaborated comprehensive request to the teacher's quality and the teaching environment. Besides it is proposed to stimulate student's study interest as well as to train their study capability by a series of humanist innovations. Through the perfect experimental duty, the attempt strengthens the students'independent consciousness in the testing, urges them to join in the unity automatically and foster good habit of cooperation. All these can build the foundation for there following research study.The fourth part has confirmed the encouraging result from the teaching practice innovation, has analyzed success and the insufficiency in cooking teaching innovation of the secondary vocational school, proposed the new task for the following research.
