Kidney Yang Of Low Back Pain Of Lumbar Rehabilitation Decoction Clinical Studies

Lumbodynia is a kind of common and frequently encountered disease in clinic. The causes leading to lumbodynia are being invaded by exogenous pathogen, exertion and trauma, and essence damage due to kidney deficiency. The chief foundation is kidney deficiency although it has many causative factors. So this disease belongs to asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality, and they usually accompanied with each other and influence each other, which deficiency in origin is kidney deficiency, and which asthenia in superficiality are wind-cold, wind-heat, cold-wet, damp-heat, blood stagnation. Among of them, lumbago due to deficiency of the kidney can be divided into lumbago due to deficiency of kidney-YIN and lumbago due to insufficiency of kidney-YANG in the light of their mechanism and clinical symptom. When treat lumbago due to insufficiency of kidney-YANG, it is often to see adopt tonics that are chiefly composed of herbs which can invigorate the kidney. But the curative effect is quiet although they are large in dosage, and it would obstruct the stomach because of its tonify and greasy nature after long time taking, to aim directly at the insufficiency and to combine the characteristic of asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality of the disease, we establish the method of "warming the kidney and restoring YANG, circulating the blood and reliving blood-stasis" to get at the root firstly, achieve temporary solution secondly, and approach disease mechanism further by clinical research of treating lumbago due to insufficiency of kidney-YANG with Yaofukang apozem. Random control was conducted when treated 60 patients in clinic. Compared with conventional therapy group, it was verified that the curative effect of Yaofukang apozem was superior to that of conventional therapy group. The cure rate of treatment group was 63.33% and its clinical total effective rate was 93.33%.While the cure rate of control group was36.67% and its clinical total effective rate was 73.33%.There was significant difference between two groups (P< 0.05).The treatment group was especially outweigh to control group in improving clinical symptom, such as lumbago, weak lumber and knees, lassitude, impotence, etc. And there were no adverse effect after took medicine. So, from the results, it was effective that adopted the method of "warming the kidney and restoring YANG, circulating the blood and reliving blood-stasis" to cure lumbago due to insufficiency of kidney-YANG.
