A Practical Study On The Social Adaptation Of Social Workers In Serving Children

As China’s reform and opening up, the imbalance between regional economic development drive the migration and move of China’s massive rural population, and migration has characteristics of family as the unit.According to 2015 national statistical date,more and more zero to fourteen years of age’s children follow their parents. China’s migration population is about 247 million, To adapt to the new environment,migrant children face with social adaptation of learning, living, communication, social support, and psychology.The social adaptation of a huge number of migrant children became the country’s social problems, and drew widespread attention from government, society, academia.Domestic and foreign scholars study social adaptation of migrant children mainly from the perspective of sociology, psychology or education, but there is little research on social adaptation of migrant children from the perspective of social worker practical operation.In this paper, we study fourth-grade students of a school for migrant worker children in P Community of Shenzhen through a questionnaire study, analyzing the social adaptation problem of migrant children.From the study,live,contact,social support and psychological adaptation of five dimensions of the questionnaire design. It is noted that the lack of external social support system for migrant children has an impact on social adaptation in learning, living, and psychology.Social workers by group work, case work professional practices get involved in the services for migrant children social adaptation, designing eight group activities and case counseling. Through inter-group communication and interaction, the potential power of inter-group is fully stimulated. This increases the group impact on individual, improving migrant children’ social skills, peer group relations, etc. With adequate social support, thereby increasing the level of social adaptation of migrant children.By tracking longitudinal study, we comparatively analyze the effectiveness of social workers on migrant children social adaptation services, accumulating service experience, reflecting shortcomings in the service.According positive psychology perspective to carry out services,improve the diversity of the reference group.we study social adaptation of migrant children from the perspective of the social work profession, enriching the theory and practice of social work., help migrant children to better adapt to the environment, and promote the healthy growth of migrant children, form a good personality and understanding; and adapt to the society for migrant children, become the new generation of urban construction force, maintain order in the city, promote the harmonious development and economic growth of cities.
