NC continue to evolve with modernization, making those complexity and difficulty of detection and maintenance to increase, the approach to data collection of traditional, stand-alone, distributed monitoring and fault diagnosis system cannot meet the speed, accuracy, timeliness, reliability. In order to ensure the safety, stable and efficient production, and for the further development about large and complex information resources accrued in production process, so CNC has an urgent need for network services, digital and remote operation, monitoring, maintenance and diagnostic functions.This paper analyzes the actual needs and characteristics of CNC machine, combined with domestic and international development situation and future trends of the current remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system, detailed analysis of the network control technology, automatically detection technology and intelligent diagnosis of CNC machine remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system. This paper first studies communication technology, system components and features in the network measurement and control system of CNC machine, analyzes the principle and way of networking and system hardware and software structure. Then from system structure of the remote monitoring and fault diagnosis to start, made a reasonable composition, divided into three parts that real-time data acquisition and processing unit, intelligent fault diagnosis expert system unit, remote monitoring and fault diagnosis unit. The data acquisition and processing unit adopts a programmable automation controller as basis on-site real time acquisition system, using virtual instruments for data analysis and processing tasks; Intelligent fault diagnosis unit analysis the application of expert system for CNC, studies fault detection, identification, representation, reasoning, decision-making control and other key technologies; remote monitoring and fault diagnosis unit building C/S and B/S mixed-mode to achieve the remote monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance, data management, systems management, information fusion and other functions.
