A biological and chemical Co., Ltd. in Jiangxi Province.which the production was lactic acid, and a large number of high concentration organic wastewater was produced in the production process. The wastewater was treated by the combined process of IC+A/O+BIOFOR. Through the studying on the theory of the combination process, and with the researching of the practical project starting-up, commissioning and running, came to the following findings:1,The wastewater was high concentration organic wastewater, the influent CODcr concentration was high, between3000to11000mg/L, after the treatment by IC could effectively remove most of CODcr. Influent pH was6.5-8.0, temperature was30℃~38℃.When run at full capacity the organic load was10kgCOD/m3·d, up-flow velocity was0.6m/h, When the system was stably running, the CODcr concentration of treated wastewater was below1000mg/L, the removal rate was75%-90%. Wastewater was firstly treated by anaerobic treatment to reduce the load on the subsequent aerobic process, ensure that the aerobic process can run normally.2,The study showed that the pH, temperature, DO, and the mixture ratio were very important to the A/O operation, when the C:N:P was maintained at100:5:1, the dissolved oxygen controlled below0.5mg/L in the anoxic tank (pool), pH was6.5~7.5, temperature was5℃~40℃; dissolved oxygen was maintained2.0mg/L to4.0mg/L in the aerobic tank (O pool), pH was7.0-8.0, temperature was20℃~40℃, the return ratio was1, after40days, the system could operate stably, the CODcr and NH3-N removal efficiency were stabilized at85%by A/O system.3,The successful biofilm formation and stability running of BIOFOR were influenced by the backwash, G/L, organic load and hydraulic load. When G/L was controlled at (6-8):1,and controlled the organic load and hydraulic load, after15days BIOFOR biofilm was succeded, the removal rate of CODcr was about60%when BIOFOR was stably operating. After the depth treatment by BIOFOR, further removed of the remaining CODcr, NH3-N, it could better ensure the stability of effluent. 4,Studies have showd that, the treatment effection was very good by using IC+A/O+BIOFOR combination process to treat the plant's high concentration organic wastewater, the removal efficiencies of CODcr and NH3-N were about98%and88%. The effluent indicators were able to meet the first class criteria specified in Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB8978-1996).,and the system was running stably.
