Dao And Fa-Studies Of Lao-tzu And Han Fei

The connection of Lao-tzu and Han Fei has been concerned by academics. Historically, many thinkers, historians and philosophers have researched on this question. This paper attempts to study the relationship between Lao-tzu and Han Fei from a macro-perspective of Dao (Way) and Fa(Law),expect to clarify the thinking connection. First of all, to start from the study of The Four of Classics of Huang di, analyze the thought about Dao and Fa in this book. On the one hand, analyze the Dao Generates Law and the connection of Dao and Fa, prepare for the study of Lao-tzu and Han Fei; On the other hand, analyze the Dao and Li(Nous) , Li is one of the most important concept of The Four of Classics of Huang di, it is the key of the complicated process from Dao to Fa .Secondly, connected the thought of Han Feizi and Lao-tzu by Dao and Fa . Analyze the philosophy principle of Lao-tzu and the politics theory of Han Fei under the large legalist framework of Dao and Fa. The chapter consists three parts:(1)The setting of Monarch.(2)Natural philosophy and De(Virtue) .(3) Li and The theory of human interests. Trying to understand the three parts, and the philosophy theory that obtained from Lao-tzu was how inherited and transformed by Han Fei, lasted, has been applied into the system of political management.Finally, this paper will analyze the connection of Dao and Fa, Shu, Shi separately, Fa, Shu, Shi are the core of Han fei's law ideology. Dao was how influenced and played effects to Fa, Shu, Shi. Try to from another point of view to analyze the subtle relationship between Lao-tzu and Han Fei.This paper attempts to get a different perspective to see the problem. On the one hand, sort out the inheritance relationship between Lao-tzu and Han Fei; On the other hand, can better understanding the root of cause the conflict in Han Fei's law ideology.
