Study On The Auxiliary Word "LI" In Shuochengqu Dialect

The east of Shuochengqu meets Huairen and Yingxian, the south connects with Ningwu, Yuanping and Daixian, the west neighbors on Shenchi and Pianguan, the north borders on Youyu, Zuoyun and the county of Qingshuihe in Inner Mongolia. Shuochengqu dialect belongs to Wutai Regin of Jin Dialect. The auxiliary word "LI" is widely distributed and frequently used. It is a characteristic word in Shuochengqu dialect. It has the usage of structure auxiliary words, dynamic auxiliary words, tone auxiliary words, and still can express the significances of tendency.This paper, based on Shuochengqu dialect's field investigations, describes the distribution and function of the auxiliary word "LI' in Shuochengqu dialect systematically and comprehensively, and separately makes a synchronic and diachronic comparison with the auxiliary word "LI" in the contemporary Chinese mandarin and pre-modern Chinese, reveals the using rule of the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect, searches the origins, in order to provide effective information for the research of "LI" and jin dialect grammar study. The article is divided into five parts.Introduction. This part firstly introduce the current research situation, ie. the published articles and books. Next, this part tells the research method, ie. the investigation method, the synchronic and diachronic comparison method, etc. The last is some directions about this paper.The first chapter is the research on the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect. This part mainly describes the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect meticulously. Use the typology for references, divide the study on the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect into six types: used as structure auxiliary word, as state auxiliary word, as dynamic auxiliary word, express the significances of tendency, used as tone auxiliary word and "LI-LI" used together. Discuss the usage of "LI" in each type, and compare it with modern Chinese.The second chapter is the comparison between the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect and the auxiliary word "LI" in the pre-modern Chinese. This part mainly compares the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect and the auxiliary word "LI" in the pre-modern Chinese, educes the same and differences on the usage, show the close relations.The third chapter is to discuss the origin of the auxiliary word "LI" in Shuochengqu dialect. Based on the previous two parts, this part discusses the origins of the structure auxiliary word and the tone auxiliary respectively, and considers the origin of the structure auxiliary word is"的""地""得"'same voice modality [ti] and the origin of the tone auxiliary word is the position word"裏".Epilogue. This part reviews the main contents and views in this paper, and puts forward some unsolved questions.
