Sulfur dioxide has a strong destructive effect for the ecological enviroment. Sulfurdioxide emission reduction has become the most important thing in the world environmentalprotection. Currently, Wanglong Heating Power Plant has been used in wet limestonegypsum flue gas desulfurization system, which can meet the basic needs of environmentalprotection, but with the national energy-saving emission reduction efforts and the operationcost of the enterprise sustained high, Wanglong Heating Power Plant must increasedesulfurization system technological transformation.Using white mud instead of desulphurizer limestone can not only improve thedesulfurization efficiency, reduce the cost of enterprises, but also reduce the white mudpollution to the environment. Due to the use of white mud instead of limestone acturally raresin China, the success of the project will be on the coal-fired power plant desulfurization agentmodification plays an important role. Based on wet flue gas desulphurization system inthermal power plant of white mud project research, not only has the environmental benefits,but also for the sustainable economic development creates good condition, its social andeconomic benefits are very obvious. Increased cooperation between enterprises, uses waste totreat waste, recycling economy, reached between enterprise’s win-win situation, but also forenterprises of our country development mode plays a leading role.This paper introduces the domestic and foreign as white mud in wet FGD systemdesulfurizing agent research present situation, and performed in thermal power plantdesulfurization limestone white mud instead of a feasibility study. Introduced in thermalpower plant desulfurization device and reformation of desulfurization system, analyzed theexperiment process and the performance test, and the existing problems are addressed, withthe two sets of desulfurization system on operation management were proposed. Through thetechnical research, improved the efficiency of desulfurization in thermal power plant andequipment operation rate, reduce the cost of desulfurization agent and plant energyconsumption, improve the core competitiveness in thermal power plant. The research resultscan serve as a demonstration project to lead the development of the technology, has a strongpromotion effect.
