ObjectiveTo reveal the relationship between Broca aphasia and lesion distribution post acute ischemic stroke.MethodsGive MRI examination to31inpatients who suffering from acute ischemic stroke and Broca aphasia in the department of neurological rehabilitation、 the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July2010to March2012.Record the damaged lesion.Handedness evaluation was performed using the Department of Neurology, First Hospital of Beijng medical university.Evaluated for severity according to the grading criteria of Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination.ResultsOf all31cases, there were19cases whose Broca areas damaged in left cerebral hemisphere,1case whose Broca areas damaged in right cerebral hemisphere (left-handed),6cases with ischemic lesions in the centrum semiovale and the left hypothalamus,3cases with ischemic lesions involving the insular cortex and2cases with ischemic lesions in the thalamus。In all31patients, grade criterion of the Boston diagnostic aphasia grade0,1,2, were6,23,2cases respectively and many of0and1grade were distributed classical language centers. ConclusionsBroca aphasia after acute ischemic stroke occurrence of craniocerebral magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) focal areas see does not quite agree, a small fraction of Broca aphasia after acute ischemic stroke patients the lesion site is not in the classical Broca area. But Broca area damage than other parts of the damage to the more serious Broca aphasia.
