Objective:The application of Spectral-domain OCT to observe the shape of the DR inpatients with macular; partition measuring the total volume of the average thicknessof normal and diabetic retinopathy patients with macular retinal thickness of macularretina and macular explore type2diabetes patients with macular retinal thickness andvolume characteristics and the correlation between the normal macular retinalthickness and volume.Method:From January2010to September2011in our hospital diagnosed with type2diabetes185cases, dilated fundus examination by conventional, fundus photographyand FFA examination and based on2002diabetic retinopathy international clinicalclassification standards for these185cases (317eyes)type2diabetic patients weredivided into three groups: normal diabetic retinopathy (NDR;50cases,89eyes)group,non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR;73cases,126eyes), proliferativediabetic retinopathy (PDR;62cases,102eyes) The fourth group of normal group of52cases (98eyes). Frequency domain OCT with the above four groups ofmacular scanning, and analysis software with automated analysis of ninepartitions, data and records the thickness of various retinal macular retinal thicknessand mean macular volume of Chief.Results:In macular retinal foveal thickness of1mm diameter of the normal group, NDRgroup, NPDR group, PDR group were (246.37±17.50) μm,(252.13±16.24) μm,(316.28±56.99) μm,(407.90±214.89) μm. Four groups of macular retinal thicknessand mean, respectively:285.07±10.42μm,289.45±11.19μm,332.31±39.71μm,390.20±64.17μm; overall points for the other:10.22±0.39mm3,10.12±1.03mm3,11.99±3.29mm3,13.87±5.13mm3. Compared with the normal group, NPDR,PDR group A1-A9area of macular retinal thickness, average macular retinal thickn- ess, total macular volume were statistically significant (all P <0.05); NDR group andcontrol group than, A1-A9retinal thickness, average macular retinal thickness, totalmacular volume difference was not statistically significant (all P>0.05); NDR, NPDR,PDR among the three groups, there are pairwise statistically significant (P <0.05).Frequency domain OCT can visualize the shape of the macular edema, macularedema in OCT retinal sponge-like swelling, cystoid macular edema and serousneuroepithelial detachment found during inspections.Conclusion:Frequency domain OCT is not only able to visually observe the shape of theDR in patients with macular better quantitative and qualitative observation of thesubtle changes of the macular area of patients with diabetes and provide a reliablemeans of detection for early diagnosis and treatment of diabetic maculardegeneration.
