Interpersonal communication is an important subject of sociology and psychology, and social anxiety is also a problem researcher and psychological counselors often encounter. The high school stage is a very important individual stage, high school students are in the crossroads of life development. This stage is the puberty when the physical development is very rapid. But psychological development lags behind physical development. One of the main tasks of this stage is to deal with all kinds of contradictions during the transition period of childish to mature, childhood to adulthood and slowly maturing in all fields. If we don’t take timely treatment or intervention for young people with social anxiety disorder, not only will bring hinder for the development of interpersonal and communication skills, but also affect their social and personality development. So concerned about young people’s social anxiety is particularly necessary. The research on the development characteristics of social anxiety for high school students is very little.The purpose of this study is to research the development characteristics of social anxiety for high school students and provide some useful information to solve the problem of social anxiety for high school students. According to the findings of the Chinese and foreign scholars, the individual’s inherent personality tendency and self-esteem is an important factor to affect the social anxiety. Maladaptive ingredients in perfectionism and social anxiety are closely related. Perfectionist as a stable personality trait is not easy to change after the formation. Clinical or counseling work is difficult to directly change their destructive impact on social anxiety. In order to improve the perfectionist social anxiety consultation and treatment level, the researchers begin to pay close attention to perfection and social anxiety intermediary factors. The study tries to explore joint effect of personality and self-esteem on college students’ social anxiety. Through the mediating role of self-esteem on the relationship between perfect socialist personality theory and social anxiety, the study do some discussion and guidance to reduce the negative influence of perfectionism socialist anxiety in social activity and improve mental health of teenagers.This study uses social anxiety and avoids questionnaire, perfect socialist scale and self-esteem scale survey; subjects come from five high school in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Loudi. Effective questionnaires are931. Data analysis uses SPSS17.0and Lisrel8.70. The results show that:(1) the overall social anxiety detection rate of high school students is higher than the norms which need to be taken seriously. The development characteristic of social anxiety is that grade one students has the most serious social anxiety, second is grade two, and third is grade three. What’s more, detection rate of each grade is higher than the norm social anxiety. Social anxiety of high school students differences in gender, urban and rural and school attribute. Adaptability perfectionism of high school students exist differences between urban and rural areas. The adaptability of perfect of high school students differences in gender. Self-esteem of high school students differences in gender and school attribute.(2) Perfectionism and self-esteem of high school students can predict social anxiety very well. The adaptability of perfect socialist has positive function prediction on social anxiety. Self-esteem and adaptive perfectionism have a significant negative predictor on social anxiety.(3) Self-esteem is the mediating variables for high school students on perfectionist affecting social anxiety.
