In the nowadays society, which based on information, animal symbol plays a very important role in brand spreading. People only to fully understand it’s value and existence of necessity that can exploit its value better. The Animal symbol branding is a general trend of development, and people from all social sectors are talking about the brand, such as a company wants to perform its own brand perfectly, as well as each country does, and even media is also spreading various concept of brand. Using the characteristics of the animal symbols, to develop the brand and spread brand. No matter international brands or domestic brands, it is very common that develop owned brands by using the characteristic of animal symbol.This paper includes four parts. The first part analyzes the evolutionary history of the animal symbol as a brand image. This part which from the aspect of different preference for animal symbol as a point of penetration, explained the influence of using animal symbol between attributes of brand and historical inertia. From the point of view of animal symbols change and update, this part focusing on interpretation of the different periods, different audiences and different parts of the animal symbols application. The second part studied the brand image and expression as a symbolic of animal symbols. It studied animals symbol in the propagation of the brand from the psychology angle. From an anthropological point of view to study general application of animals and humans since ancient times to stay together, to the universal application of today’s animal symbol from the ancient totem, and explain the significance of the value of the animal symbols from the point of view in the form of expression and regional differences. The third part mainly studied the affective and artistic value of animal symbols, and whether they can work well in advancing the character, molding the brand, enhancing the memory of the brand and making the variation brand. The fourth part is summary.The paper discusses animal symbol used in brand design, and aims at generalizing animal symbol using in the topic of different brand and industry, and then looking for its better value explanation in the developments and changes. The paper take advantage of the animal symbol as a topic, and combine the development of brand as a point of penetration, which exhaustively studies the importance of realizing the value of brand by using animal symbol and the necessity of animal symbol existence in nowadays society. This paper also gives a systematic analysis of the value of animal symbol as the brand image, and plays an important role in shaping the brand image and enhance the brand communication.
