President Hu’s report at18th Party Congress of the Communist Party of Chinapointed out that faced with increasing resource constraints, severe environmentalpollution and a deteriorating ecosystem, we must raise our ecological awareness of theneed to respect, accommodate to and protect nature. We must give high priority tomaking ecological progress and incorporate it into all aspects and the whole processof advancing economic, political, cultural, and social progress.Accompanied by the increasing prosperity of China’s economy, the urbanizationprocess is significantly accelerated. A large amount of construction and demolitionwaste was generated during the updating of urban infrastructure. The C&D wastedisposal program in China is simply to send the C&D waste to the receiving fieldswhich are set by the Urban Environment Health Department for open shelving orlandfill. The incomplete treat of the C&D waste would result in several problems:Firstly, the direct disposal of C&D waste is a serious waste of resources; Secondly, thedirect disposal of C&D waste would take up a lot of land and social resources byChina’s huge production of construction waste; Finally, the retention of harmfulsubstances would seriously pollute the city environment and it would take a lot moresocial and economic resources for the environmental pollution control. Therefore, theC&D waste disposal process needs to be improved urgently.Based on the study of the main source, classification, characteristics of the C&Dwaste and the existing C&D waste disposal processing mode in China, this paperfirstly analyzed the existing problems in the processing mode. The drawing on theidea and the specific implementation process of the reverse supply chain in themanufacturing industry, this paper constructed a C&D waste disposal system based onthe cooperation model of construction industry reverse supply chain. After that, thispaper discussed the efficiency of the C&D waste disposal in the reverse supply chainof cooperation mode from4aspects, which are the business flow, materials flow,capital flow and information flow.Then the influencing factors affecting the cooperation efficiency of theconstruction industry reverse supply chain system were investigated by the Delphimethod, drawing six main factors: the main distribution of benefits, satisfaction on theconstruction waste recycling products, inter-subjectivity resource dependence; government policies and regulations, inter-subjectivity trust, and communicationeffectiveness. Finally, recommendations was given to promote the implementation ofconstruction industry reverse supply chain from several angles, which are thegovernment policy, the mainly involved enterprises in the construction industryreverse supply chain–the C&D waste recycling enterprises and constructionenterprises.
