The type of ZFY6800/18.5/35hydraulic support was taken as the research object in this subject, and the uses and working principle of the caving hydraulic support were also introduced. The Structure and technical parameters of the caving hydraulic support were determined according to the conditions of coal seam. In the mine the two column cover type caving hydraulic support works under5type of loads, unilateral load on top beam, concentrated load at both ends of top beam, torsional load on top beam, concentrated load on base ends and base torsional load.The3D model of the hydraulic support was constructed, the virtual assembly and the static and dynamic interference check were also done. The safe and reasonable work level of the hydraulic support was determined by simulating the trajectory of top beam’s end of the hydraulic support, and contrasting the trajectory difference of the Positive and negative four connecting rod.The area of the maximum stress and the maximum displacement in the top beam and base of the hydraulic support were analyzed under five different stress by using ANSYS software.It is known that the most serious stress and displacement changes will emerge when the both end loads and the torque load were applied on the top beam and base of the hydraulic support, and the stress concentration area which was under that two kinds of stress conditions was optimized and improved.The top beam trajectory of the hydraulic support is lemniscate through the study,But the top beam in a horizontal direction variation is more than70mm, can’t make hydraulic support under horizontal force, And the reverse four bar linkage of the trajectories of the caving hydraulic support is less than70mm,The caving hydraulic support have high safety in coal mines after using the reverse four bar linkage mechanism.When hydraulic support on both sides of the top beam and base are concentrated load and torque load,top beam and the base displacement of stress concentration is large.After the top beam and column base pit size improvement and thickening reinforcement plate,can make the top beam and base changes reduce the stress and displacement,provides the theoretical basis for the caving hydraulic support’s future research.
