Along with continuous improvement of living conditions and fast change oflifestyle, the population of our country is getting elder and the stroke in the elderlypopulation is more common, hemiplegia after stroke is one of sequel that seriousimpact the quality of life. There are a lot of method therapy to treatment hemiplegia, among those methods the traditional Chinese acupuncture was accepted by more andmore people. This research compared the “Xingnao kaiqiao” plus “Jin three-needle”acupuncture method with the traditional method as a physical therapy method totreat the patients who with hemiplegia after stroke, and analyzes the patientsrecovery, to figure out the better hemiplegia recovery treatment. Methods: This study including the patients who with hemiplegia after storksreceived the rehabilitation in acupuncture and moxibustion department, Jilin Chinesetraditional medicine hospital. Diagnostic criteria according to the key diagnosis pointof various kinds of cerebrovascular disease (The4th national cerebrovascular diseaseconference) and the diagnostic and curative standard of stroke disease (The researchcollaboration group of acute encephalopathy State Administration of ChinaTraditional Medicine).80cases who incorporated into the standard recovery with hemiplegia afterstorks were randomly divided into “Xingnao kaiqiao” plus “Jin three-needle”acupuncture method group (treatment group) and traditional acupuncture group(control group),40cases in each. All the patients receive different type rehab therapy, the dosage is same: once a day, every time30min, total28days.Using simplified Fugl-Meyer movement function score evaluation the patientslimb movement function; The modified Ashworth rating scale assessed the muscle tension; Use Brunnstrom (1966,1970) and Sawner (1992) described the six stagesprocess of recovery following stroke-induced hemiplegia to assess limb motorfunction before and after the therapy; Based on scale of basic neural function defectreduction to assess the degree of the sick before and after therapy.Collect all the data and input and storage in EXCEL (Excel office2010,Microsoft), analysis and statistical by software SAS, using rank-sum test and t test, ifP <0.05was thought as s statistical significance. Results: the both arm in age, sex, the disease history duration are comparable(P>0.05). Simplified Fugl-Meyer evaluation method results: the lower limbmovement are improved in both arms but better in therapy group before and aftertreatment p<0.05; Ashworth rating scale result shows: there are no statisticallysignificant (p>0.05) compare both arms before the1-m long therapy and both armsare improve by the scale (p <0.01), and also the treatment group not better comparethe control group after the therapy (p>0.05). Brunnstrom six stages process ofrecovery following stroke-induced hemiplegia to assess limb motor function: thereare no difference before the therapy, both arms are improved in limb motor functionand also the treatment group is much more better than the control group aftertreatment (p <0.05). The degree of cerebral apoplexy patients with clinical nervefunction defect score standard: The treatment group is better on the upper and lowerlimb motor function improved than the control group (p <0.05).Conclusion: The “Xingnao kaiqiao” plus “Jin three-needle” acupuncturemethod group (treatment group) to treat the hemiplegia after stroke patients is muchbetter compare the traditional method therapy after1m long physical therapy, basedon the patients’ motor function, muscle tone, the degree of nerve function defect, hemiplegia, functional recovery.Suggestion: acupuncture therapy and physical rehabilitation training combined or else, are the top choice for the patients who suffered hemiplegia after stroke inmainland China. In recent years the research of combine the acupuncture andmodern rehabilitation methods to improve hemiplegia after stroke are very hot, thecombine therapy can make the limb movement function and neural function recoveryfaster, as well as can improve the life quality of patients, reduce disability and returnto society.
