The Effects Of Blood-letting Puncture And Aqping Lingtai And Shendao Points On Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Of Essential Hypertension Patients

Objective: To confirm the relatively immediate effects on HRV with theFrequency domain indexes of LF,HF and LF/HF in Patients with EssentialHypertension by acupuncturing and blood-letting puncture and cupping Lingtaiand Shendao points,,which will give inspiration to choose the well-targetedmethod in the clinical work.Methods:48cases of patients with EH were randomly divided into two groups.24patients of the observation group were pricked and cupped on Lingtai andShendao points, and24patients of the control group were acupunctured in thesame points. Then the data in two groups of LF, HF, LF/HF were recorded andstatistically analyzed.Results: It was showed by t-test that, there was no statisticalsignificance of the above indexes between the two groups before treatment.After the treatment, very significant differences of LF,HF,LF/HF existed inthe two groups between before and middle five minutes and before and afterfive minutes, and there were not significant differences of LF,HF,LF/HFbetween the two groups after treatment.Conclusion: Blood-letting puncture and cupping and acupuncturing canaffect index of HRV in patients with EH，which means that maybe the two methodshave the effects of lowering sympathetic nerve activity、increasing vagaltone and adjusting autonomic nerves balance. There were not significantdifferences between the two methods.
