This research adopts adolescent emotional resilience questionarie, adolescent life event scale and adolescent coping style questionarie to investigate more than600junior middle school students from three middle schools of DaZhou in sichuan province,in order to explore the characteristics of emotional resilience of junior middle school students and the effect of demographic variables on it.Besides,this paper also examines the relationship among life event, emotional resilience and coping style of junior middle school students,and discusses the mechanism of emotional resilience between life event and coping syle.Conclusions of the study are as follows:1.Emotional resilience levle of junior middle school students is at above average levels.2.Junior middle school students’ emotional resilience in the total score and emotion recovery ability dimension have statictical significant difference between gender,girls have a higher average score than boys,but neither reach the practical significance.The positive emotions dimension of junior middle school students has no statictical significant difference between gender.3. Junior middle school students’ emotional resilience in the total score and each dimension have statictical significant difference among grades.In the total score of emotional resilience,the first grade students and the second grade students have a higher average score than the third grade students;In the positive emotions dimension,the second grade students have a higer average score than the third grade students;In the emotion recovery ability dimention,the first grade students have a higher average score than the second grade students and the third grade students;but none reach the practical significance.In addition, Junior middle school students’ emotional resilience has no interaction on the gender and grade.4. Junior middle school students’ emotional resilience in the total score and each dimension have no statictical significant difference between only child and non only child5. Life events,emotional resilience and coping style of junior middle school students in the total score are signficantly related.Life events and emotional resilience are positively related;emotional resilience and coping style are positively related;life events and coping style are positively related.Besides, life events and emotional resilience can predict coping styles.6. Emotional resilience plays a partial mediating role between life events and coping styles.
