A Study Of The Current Situations Of Professional Training For Lifeguard And Sustainable Development In Liaoning Province

Research Purposes: As one of the provinces where swimming sport was welldeveloped, Liaoning province had taken the lead in the first training class oflifeguard in2009, and the lifeguard training class had been run12times until now.The training separated the training from the assessment for the lifeguard,simultaneously uniting the assessment criteria of lifeguard, consummating theassessment mechanism, accelerating the professionalization process of lifeguardin Liaoning province, making the examination of lifeguard in Liaoning provinceinstitutionalized and standardized.Through researching in the current situations of professional training for lifeguard,training specialist and trainee in Liaoning province, and the influencing factors ofprofessional training for lifeguard in Liaoning province during the developmentprocess, then combining the strategy of sustainable development, this paperdiscussed the development direction of professional training for lifeguard inLiaoning province in the future.Research Method: This paper conducted interview investigations among theprofessional training specialists and verifiers in Liaoning province, the staff member in professional skill appraisal guidance center of Liaoning province andthe trainees who joined the training class, by using the methods of documentaryanalysis, questionnaire, expert interview, mathematical statistics and systemanalysis approach and taking professional training for lifeguard in Liaoningprovince as research object.Research Conclusions:1. The professional training for lifeguard in Liaoningprovince had formed a relatively perfect training system, so mainly focused on thetraining of junior lifeguard now.2. The training specialist teams were relativelyyoung, their training ages were generally small, further more, the research abilityin lifeguard area still needed to be improved, the qualified national levellifeguards were relatively few.3. The trainees who joined the training class wereoverwhelmingly well educated, the lifeguard teams were relatively young, but thesex ratio was unbalanced with a male preponderance.4. The training goals inevery level of the training were different, the training contents had various focuses.5. The management of lifesaving training in Liaoning province was lack ofexperience, still facing the problems in the aspects of inadequate regards fromleadership, the weak national consciousness of lifesaving, some lifeguards’ poor qualities, the lack of lifesaving propaganda, the out-dated lifesaving regime, thelag in relevant laws and regulations, the monotonous type of lifesaving training,and the lack of teachers in lifegard training.Suggestion: Consummating the lifeguard training system to meet the needs of thelifeguard training in new century, improving the lifesaving management system toform a standard orderly regime, strengthening the lifesaving propaganda toenhance the national consciousness of lifesaving, combining the practices andfacilitating theoretical research to complete the sustainable developmenttheoretical system of lifesaving training.
