| As the sub-college by the end of1990s, the Independent College which is from the elitisteducation to the mass education has developed rapidly in the recent10years. However,lacking of relevant laws and the policies and according to the new mechanism and the mode,it appears to be inappropriate orientation, the convergence and characterless in the process ofits opening. Some of the Independent Colleges just simply duplicate the orientation of theparent university.The thesis studies the orientation of the independent college by adopting the method of thecombination between the theoretical and the empirical research. As the new born thing,Independent college has not gone through such a long time for the development and hasdifferent characteristics compared with the traditional university. Thus they have the differentorientation. On the basic of the research of thesis from domestic and foreign colleges andindependent colleges, it mainly analyzes the current state of the independent college andpoints out the inappropriate orientation by breaking away from the reality, the uncleartalent-cultivation and depending on the parent university excessively, etc. The orientation ofthe independent college is affected by the government policy, the social socio-economicconditions, and even the management of the independent college and the characteristics of theparent university. The thesis puts forward the legal countermeasures including the ways ofimproving the relevant policy and law, and the amplify autonomy in running university, thebuilding of the reasonable evaluation system, and the regulation of the behavior of theindependent college, and the explicit orientation of the talent cultivation. It optimizes thecourse system, increases the teaching facilities investment and improves the service of themanagement. Finally, taking the Xi’an Jiao tong University City College for example, thethesis analyzes the current state of its orientation and put forwards the countermeasures andsuggestions. |
