Wang Yun, a famous philologist in Qing Dynasty, devoted himself to philology knowledge spreading among the common people. Basing on the characteristics of Chinese characters and the children' s psychology, he did researches on the primary education and teaching methods. Wang Yun wrote many famous works, such as " Wen Zi Meng Qiu " and " Jiao Tong Zi Fa ", in which language teaching were discussed. With a concept of "Students are human beings" , he drew out some Chinese education thoughts on the base of his rich knowledge and deep insight.The thesis analyzes the thoughts in "Jiao Tong Zi Fa" from three dimensions, which are historical material demonstration, dialectical criticism and comparison with other educators. And it focuses on three aspects that are teaching aims, teaching contents and teaching principles.Meanwhile, compared with " Full-time Compulsory Education Chinese Course < experimental edition > " , Wang Yun' s educational thoughts are evaluated, and then some suggestions are given to make his ideas be suitable with the current situation and serve the present. The whole thesis is mainly divided into six chapters:Chapter 1: Introduction, this part introduces theachievements of the current research and, the characteristics and significance of it.Chapter 2: This part introduces a biographical note about the famous philologist, Wang Yun, and it also discusses about his works: " Shuo Wen Shi Li" , "Shuo Wen Jie Zi Ju Dou", "Wen Zi Meng Qiu " , "Jiao Tong Zi Fa " .Chapter 3: The thesis appraises Wang Yun' s Chinese education thoughts from the perspective of educational aims, contents and principles.Chapter 4, Compared with Johann Amos Comenius and Rousseau' s education thoughts, the traditional Chinese education thoughts of "Jiao Tong Zi Fa" is analyzed.Chapter 5: From aspects of sense of education, relationship between teachers and students, goals and evaluation, the thoughts of "Jiao Tong Zi Fa" is compared with "Full-time Compulsory Education Chinese Course < experimental edition > " , and therefore, scientific and reasonable evaluation of his thoughts is given. Chapter6: Conclusion.
