Hydraulic support is the key equipment of the integrated mechanization technology of coal mining, which is powered by high-pressure liquid to produce the supporting force and composed of hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic and other valve hydraulic components and metal components. The column(playing a major supporting role in the hydraulic cylinder) is the main bearing and height adjusting component that whose role is connected with hydraulic support beam and the base. Its performance affects the working status of the entire hydraulic support directly.Hydraulic support with double telescoping column has a large range of height ajusting and is convenient to use, which is more used for the thin seam and large mining height bracket. Column with high performance is the key to the design and manufacture of hydraulic support, so the research and analysis on CAD/CAE technology has important implications for the overall performance of hydraulic support.Paper introduces the research situation at home and abroad and the structure type and development trend of hydraulic support column first, it also introduces the working characteristic curve of hydraulic support column. This paper takes the ZY12000/28/62 D hydraulic support as a example, strength and stability of double telescoping column studied in detail, the main research has the following several aspects:(1)The principles of column to simplify is introduced in detail first,and the 3D(thre e-dimensional) solid model of every part is established by of the 3D modeling software Pro/E, and assembled in virtual assembly environment.And a 3D model with the liquid column is established on the basis of the assembly.(2) Mechanical analysis of hydraulic support column is carried out under 2 times the load case of the center by mechanical calculation model,the maximum bending moment of column sections and deflection are respectively calculated,the strength of column for each segment is checked according to the fourth strength theory. The critical load of column is calculated according to the equivalent force model and boundary conditions and continuity, and stability analysis of column is completed.(3)The 3D model of column is established by the Pro/E software, and through the seamless interface to ANSYS. Using FEA(finite element analysis)software ANSYS the analysis of strength and fluid-solid coupling can intuitively show should be the size and the distribution of force and displacement of the column under load under 2 times the load case of the center column, at the same time the analysis of post buckling and stability check is taken into consideration.In this paper, combined theoretical analysis with finite element analysis on CAD/CA E technology, the influence of fluid-solid coupling on the upright post finite element analysis is showed through the analysis of the double telescopic column ZY12000/28/62 D type shield hydraulic support, and strength and stability of the column are analyzed deeply, which provides the reference for the design of vertical column for hydraulic support.
