| Objective Through a retrospective case-control study to investigate the risk factorsthat may relate with the size of male vocal cord polyp in patientsMethod. The76cases of male patients with vocal cord polyp was selected fromSeptember2009to April2014at the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian MedicalUniversity line who has accepted with the treatment of vocal cord polypsurgical.According to certain criteria. According to the size of the vocal cord polyp,all the patients were divided into two groups, the group of large vocal cord polyps andthe group of small vocal cord polyps. According to clinical data, select the ninefactors that may affect the size of vocal cord polyp (age, duration, smoking, dailysmoking, smoking time, alcohol consumption, excessive use of sound, voice abuse,ApoA-I values), Logistic regression analysis were performed to investigate thepossible risk factors. Takes P <0.05was considered statistically significant difference.All data are used SPSS20.0statistical software for statistical analysis.Result Male vocal cord polyps, logistic regression univariate analysis, age, duration,daily smoking, alcohol consumption, excessive use of sound, vocal abuse was nosignificant difference (P>0.05), Logistic regression analysis, the result demonstratedthe occurring of the size of vocal fold polyp positively correlated to three factors.Smoking time and ApoA-I values were significantly (P <0.05). Smoked and thevalue of ApoA-I is closely related to the size of vocal cord polyp.Conclusion1.The occurring of the size of vocal fold polyp positively correlated to smokeing timeand ApoA-I values; Smokeing time is the risk factors of the size of vocal fold polyp,smoking longer, increasing the risk of vocal cord polyps increase; ApoA-I levels maybe a protective factor for the size of vocal cord polyp, the level of ApoA-I valuesincreased, the opportunities for smaller vocal cord polyp may be increased.2. Age, duration of smoking, excessive use of sound, voice abuse, alcohol and other factorsassociated with vocal cord polyp size no correlation.3. Improve the level of ApoA-I values and smoking cessation may continue toincrease prevention of vocal cord polyp. |
