Clinical Observation Of Needle Pricking Therapy Combined With Levocarnitine Treatment Of Male Infertility With Asthenospermia

Objective: To observe the effects of combined application of needle pricking therapyand Levocarnitine for treatment of male infertility with asthenospermia, explore a newclinical treatment of asthenospermia combined with traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine.Methods: from June2012to December2013,120patients with asthenospermiabranch infertility patients in our hospital were randomly divided into needle prickingtherapy group, levocarnitine group and acupuncture group. Needle pricking therapywas taken once per week, levocarnitine was oral10ml once after administration,3times a day。The treatment period was3month. Before and after treatment in patientswith sperm density, motility, percentage, rapidly progressive sperm forwardmovement sperm percentage and other semen parameters were recorded, and theresults were analyzed with statistics.Results:9cases have lost, the loss rate was7.5%(9/120). Three different treatmentmethods are the within group comparisons showed, the semen parameters than beforetreatment were significantly improved, which was statistically significant differencesbefore and after treatment (P<0.05). The treatment results were compared betweengroups, needle pricking therapy group and the differences between the parameterslevocarnitine group had no statistical significance (P>0.05); acupuncture groupcompared with the other two groups, fast forward movement sperm percentage,percentage of motile sperm before to rise more markedly, and the difference hadstatistical significance (P<0.05); in improving sperm density, acupuncture medicinegroup increased more than the other two groups, but with the needle pricking therapy group, the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.71, P=0.09>0.05);compared with the levocarnitine group, significant difference (t=-2.26, P=0.03<0.05);to improve sperm motility, after treatment three treatment group comparisons, therewas no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion: the single application of levocarnitine or needle pricking therapy cansignificantly improve the fast forward movement sperm percentage, percentage ofsperm forward movement, helps to improve the pregnancy rate, but the two in thesemen quality improvement has no obvious difference. Needle pricking therapycombined with Levocarnitine is the treatment of asthenospermia with a newtraditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, the treatment effect is better thanthe single application of levocarnitine or needle pricking therapy, and the method issimple, easy to master, easy, safe and effective, worthy of clinical application andpromotion.
