Objective: To explore significance of adopting the static and dynamic combination theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine in postoperative rehabilitation training by conducting a research on two groups of patients that are treated with different rehabilitation training methods after humeral intercondylar fracture surgery and making comparison of the postoperative recovery of elbow joints. Methods: Randomly assign 40 patients which meet the criteria that are treated during the period of January 2012 to December 2013 into 2 groups with 20 patients in treatment group and the other 20 in control group. Carry out different postoperative rehabilitation training of humeral intercondylar fracture simutaneously and observe the clinical effects at regular intervals. Follow the 40 patients with average interval of 12 months. Evaluate the overall function of elbow joints with Mayo scores and make a statistical analysis of the data; evaluate the pain perceived when the patients use the elbow joints with VAS scores to assess their living quality; evaluate the motility of elbow joints after taking postoperative rehabilitation training with Jupiter scores. Results: The research shows that 1) Comparing the Mayo scores, obvious variations are found between treatment group and control group(P<0.05) which has significant statistical implications. 2) In clinical effects, there are obvious differences between treatment group and control group(P<0.05) which has significant statistical implications. 3) In the last follow-up visit, evaluated with Mayo elbow performance of the clinical effects, treatment group surpasses control group. The excellent and good rate of treatment group is 80% while that of control group is 60%. In treatment group, 12 cases are excellent(60%), 4 cases good(20%), 3 cases fair(15%) and 1 case poor(5%), and in control group, 4 cases are excellent(20%), 8 cases good(40%), 6 cases fair(30%) and 2 cases poor(10%). Conclusion: Postoperative rehabilitation training of humeral intercondylar fracture is essential to postoperative recovery of the function of elbow joints. Superior to traditional postoperative rehabilitation training of fracture, the static and dynamic combination theory has remarkable effect and advantage in postoperative rehabilitation training of humeral intercondylar fracture that it can improve the function of elbow joints after humeral intercondylar fracture surgery. This theory has significant implications inPostoperative rehabilitation training of humeral intercondylar fracture that it shall be promoted actively.
