| Objective:Observe clinical effect of ShiDu decoction in the treatment of Pediatric Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia damp-heat syndrome. Methods:A total of 72 cases of children aged 3 to 14 years old, who was diagnosed with mycoplasmal pneumonia, which belong to diagnosis of cough with damp-heat syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine, as the research object. All of the children were divided into two groups:treatment group (n=36) and control group (n=36).The control group accepted comprehensive western medicine treatment:1, given azithromycin by intravenous infusion or oral for three days,10 mg/kg each day, stopping medication for 4 days; 2, intravenous infusion of XiYanPing by 8 mg/kg each day; 3, intravenous infusion of ambroxol hydrochloride (1/2 ampoule each time, 3 times a day for children of 3 to 6 years old; 1 ampoule each time,2 to 3 times a day for children of 6 to 12 years old:1 ampoule each time,2 to 3 times a day for children over 12 years old,). The treatment group was treated with Shidu decoction combined with comprehensive western medicine (taken orally, one packet every other day,30 to 50 ml each time,3 times a day for children of 3 years old; one packet every 1.5 day, 50 to 80 ml each time,3 times a day for children of 4 to 7 years old; one packet a day, 80 to 120 ml each time,3 times a day for children over 7 years old). The course of treatment lasted for one week with follow-up for 1 week after the treatment. Differences of primary and secondary symptoms were compared before and after the treatment in the same group and between the two groups to evaluate clinical curative effect of Shidu decoction. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.44%, while it was 91.67% in the control group. The obvious curative rate of the treatment group was 75% and that of the control group was 33.33%. Differences of the primary and secondary symptoms before and after the treatment in the same group was statistically significant (P<0.05), which meant there was significant curative effect in the treatment group and control group in the treatment of pediatric mycoplasmal pneumonia. Compared the total effect between the two groups, there was significant differences (P< 0.05), which showed that the curative effect of the Chinese medicine treatment group was superior to the western medicine control group. Compared the secondary symptoms between the two groups, there was significant differences on the improvement of symptoms of appetite, ozostomia and coating on the tongue the coating on the tongue (P<0.05). So from the aspect of improving symptoms of the appetite, ozostomia and coating on the tongue, the curative effect of the Chinese medicine treatment group was much better than the western medicine control group. Conclusion:Shidu decoction is one of the effective prescriptions to cure damp-heat cough and has got an admission during clinical treatment. So in summary, it is worthy further study. |
