Practice Report On The Interpretation Of Baoding Baohua Flavoring Company

The author has practicing in the Baoding Baohua Flavoring Company from2013Augustto2014June, and undertaking the interpretation work when Japanese customers visit. Theinterpreting practice report is based on my interpreting practice that customers visit thecompany, research and summary about procedure and completion of the practice. This reportconsists of four major parts, the task description, the procedure description, the case analysisand the summary.The task description gives an overall introduction about the practice, including thepractice aim, the introduction about the practice and the detailed steps to fulfill the practice.The practice is intended to exercise interpreting practice ability, accumulate interpretationpractice experience and improve my own level of translation. The translation task is mainlyused in the manner of consecutive interpreting. Translation involves the introduction aboutcompany base and experiment operation; a visit to products processing; the study of processproblems and solutions found in the visit.The procedure description gives an overall introduction about the interpreting procedure,including the preparation stage, the translation practice stage and the reflection stage ofpractice process. In order to ensure the interpretation practice smoothly, the author carried outpreparatory work from three aspects: collecting detailed information collection aboutBaohua company and Japanese customers, collecting the relevant professional knowledgeand vocabulary and prepare translation tools. Translation practice stage summarizes content ofinterpreting practice, summarizes the type of interpreting practice and points out the threedifficulties of interpreting practice. The reflection stage of practice process is respectivelydescribed from the three aspects: merits, shortcomings and improvement measures.The case analysis part is the essence of this report, divided into the translationmethods of chili products, the problems of translation and the counter measures. Theauthor introduces the translation methods used in the practice of interpreting from the choiceof translation skill and the translation of professional vocabulary. Through the interpreting practice, the author summarized the four problems of the phenomenon of non fluent,misinterpretation, information omission, other problems, and put forward the correspondingmeasures to solve these problems.Finally, in the summary part, the author describes the gains and losses of the interpretingprocess, specifically establishes the method to improve the level of translation, and hope toprovide useful demonstration for other interpreters.
