A Study Of The Social Work Intervention To Pension Institution’s Disabled Elders’ Care Problem

Rising in the number of disabled elders, and the professional, particularly care needs, the problem has become a social problem to be solved in our country. Based on the "family pension, community service as the backing, institution endowment as supplement" service system construction, institution endowment become one of the ways to solve the problem. At the same time, with the concept of "win-win", social work rises up and be used in every field in our country recent years, especially developed rapidly in the field of pension services. So, for the weak group of disabled elders, through the intervention of social work, social workers plays the role of the service provider and resource links, to meet the requirements of disabled elders’ professional and particularly needs, they play an important role.The survey has found that in the face of disabled elders’ special care, there are many deficiencies, such as social work mainly intervened in public pension agencies, no private pension institutions. The public pension institution which social work intervened has many deficiencies, too. The contents that social workers carried out were single activities which only enriched the disabled elders’ life, to some extent; they also meted the demand for spiritual comfort, but not for the rehabilitation nursing care for t, social interaction, and hospice care. At the same time, social workers did not make full use of the power of volunteers and family members, with only limited the power of social workers can not fully consider the needs of all disabled elders. They also did not treat the nursing staff as object of coordination, which can not ease, improve nursing staff and tensions between disabled elders, also can’t improve the nursing skills of nurses to improve the quality of nursing, intervention effect. Investigate its reason, not only with the development of social work in our country at present, the development of the private pension agency dilemma, also related to the quality of the social workers. Social work is in the development stage in our country, and in the depth and breadth of limited, and the capital bottleneck of private pension agency, backward service concept, so that the social work intervened in public pension agencies and private pension institutions basically without the intervention of social work. Second, because of the less professional social workers, the imperfect evaluation system and nursing system, leading to social work intervention of disabled, the satisfaction of the elders’ care needs cannot achieve the ideal effect.Based on the status of the above, on the theory of the ecological system, the author seek breakthrough from the fail of microscopic system,medium system and macroscopic system of the disabled elders, act an service providers, resource links, the role of policy advocates to build up a relatively perfect social support system for the disabled elders. Including the methods of case work and group work, demand investigation, adaptability of counseling services, mobilize families and nursing staff, volunteers and other medium system resources, and also do something on pension policy, social work development for disabled elders in rehabilitation nursing care and economic aspects as material policy support to perfect the social work intervention endowment agencies disabled elders’ care.
