With the development of society and the advancement of science and technology, peoplespend more and more time sitting in front of the computer for work, learning andentertainment. Due to keeping seated for a long time, the modern people’s trunk strengthlevels significantly decrease and the incidence rate of the symptoms of waist pain and slippeddisc significantly increases. This paper gives statistical analysis of isokinetic testing indexesfor the ordinary test subjects without physical training, and aims to find out the characteristicsof the ordinary young people’s trunk muscle strength. Meanwhile, it provides a valuablereference for everyday trunk strength training. The document literatures method, experimental method and mathematical statisticmethod are applied in the study. The study obtains a theoretical basis by reading and studyinga large number of document literatures.Using ISOMED2000isokinetic test system, this papergives a test on muscle strength of lower back for10test subjects with test movement thelower back’s flexion and extension at the speed of60°/s,90°/s,120°/s and180°/s. Thispaper analyzes the data by means of mathematical statistic method, and explores whethermuscle strength changes of the same muscle group of test subjects at different test speed areof regularity and how the regularity works; through analyzing the indexes of the same musclegroup of male test subjects and female test subjects at the same test speed, this paper tries tojudge whether male and female trunks’ flexor and extensor strength changes are of sameregularity and correlation. By calculating their correlation coefficient, this paper aims to findout what correlation exists between them and how the correlation works. Based on the study, this paper tries to sum up the characteristics of trunk flexor and extensor strength of ordinarypeople at different test speed and explore the correlation between trunk flexor and extensorstrength of male and female test subjects.Experimental study indicates:(1) at the same test speed, peak torque, relative peaktorque, maximum power, average power, relative average power and average power indexesof male test subjects are all larger than that of female test subjects.(2) at the same test speed, male test subjects’ flexion and extension peak torque is less than that of female test subjects.(3) There is significant difference between peak torque, maximum power, average power, and average power of male and female test subjects.(4) In this experiment, male and female testsubjects do not show any significant correlation in some index at the same test speed.Through analysis and discussion, this paper reveals and explores the trunk musclestrength characteristics of ordinary young people. It is recommended that all test subjectsshould focus on strengthening trunk muscle strength exercise in their daily lives, and femaletest subjects should pay more attention to trunk extensor strength exercise.
