Research On The Correlation Between The Coverage Of Social Insurance For The Migrant Labor And The Factors Of Social Quality Theory

During the period of reform and opening, China’s economy has entered into a rapid development stage. Much labor is needed for China’s economy constructing; meanwhile, much rural labor is given as the agriculture productivity rises a lot. The liberated labor contributes a lot for the needs of Chinese economy development. And the center government gradually begins to be aware of this trend and breaks the limits for the rural to move to the city. A great amount of rural labor moves to the city, and contributes a lot for’Chinese Miracle’. However, they cannot get equal rights with the local citizens, especially in the aspect of social insurance.The social quality theory originated from Europe, but its concept that balances the individual development and the social development has an significant meaning on China’s social development. The social quality theory includes four analysis dimensions, the socio-economic factor, the social cohesion, the social inclusion and the social empowerment, which involves various aspects of social constructing.Therefore, this study centered on the migrant labor based on the social quality theory. It is really my honor to participate in the research work of social quality and get the data of Hangzhou, Xiamen and Shenzhen. Firstly, this paper shows the general situation of the respondents; secondly this paper would shows the coverage of social insurance level for the migrant labor compared with that of the local citizens; thirdly, the migrant labor would be divided into the insured and the uninsured, and this paper shows the correlation between the social quality level and the social insurance level of the migrant labor by statistical analysis.This study is committed to fully reflecting the social attitude of the migrant labor from the perspective of social quality theory. The author sincerely hopes that this study can be useful for social strategy making and promoting the social quality of the migrant labor.
