Fine reservoir description technique is an effective means of sustainable development of old oilfields. Through the integrated use of variety of technical means to study the structure, sedimentary characteristics, reservoir and fluid system in the old oilfields, can achieve the purpose of fully understand the reservoir, realize the stable basis of old oilfield production, enhance recovery factor. It is the foundation and the key to realize the sustainable development of old fields, which carry out the fine reservoir description research, build the present fine geological model, develop practical and feasible development adjustment scheme.The study that fine reservoir interpretation and research development adjustment deployment carried out in J1 block, liaohe oilfield, is to build the field of regional geological model, reservoir numerical simulation study, development index prediction and comprehensive adjustment scheme design. The target block J1 of this article whose reservoir development situation was complex, and the plane large difference of reservoir development,, but the reservoir and the structure is not very implementation after years of development. There is a need for fine geological research of the system. In this article, through the fine geologic research methods, namely reservoir 3D geological model is set up, and carries on the micro structure, reservoir characteristics, sedimentary facies and characteristics of oil-water distribution research. Reservoir engineering analysis is carried out, to study the development well pattern adjustment, formation, water injection condition and effect. And reservoir numerical simulation research is carried out, to establish the whole oil field geological model, development index prediction and comprehensive adjustment scheme design optimization. In the oil and gas distribution and controlling factors and remaining oil distribution at the high water-cut stage was studied in detail. Put forward the reasonable adjustment of development plan, in order to achieve the goal of improving oil recovery.This topic finally confirmed J1 block by conventional water injection development adjustment measures for the optimal solution. In the process of fine reservoir description, it shall be fine series of strata, it is found that the important foundation of reservoir potential. It should be pay more attention to the neglected interval, which is one of the important direction for looking for reservoir potential. It is effective guarantee that closely combines a variety of methods to look for potential & enhance recovery in old oilfield. Through fine reservoir description study in J1 block, the correct understanding of reservoir characteristics and potential of the breakthrough have been founded, that can increase the oil production in old block. It shows that the fine reservoir description in complex fault block, can provide insights into potential reservoir. It is possible to get a breakthrough by using fine reservoir description in old oilfield, it helps to secondary reservoir overall understanding.Adjusting effect of J1 block shows that the fine reservoir description is an effective technical method, and the main guarantee of sustainable development in old oil fields.
