Due to the large scale and lots of parts of large hydraulic presses,in processes of new product development,sales display and teaching experiments on large hydraulic presses,virtual 3D models can not be intuitively presented,trial prototypes need more costs and longer time.This study used the 3D printing technology to the area of teaching model design and manufacturing on the large hydraulic press to shorten product development cycles and lower manufacturing costs.However,based on user experience,production practice and durability considerations,the large hydraulic press3 D printing model requires a series of structural optimization to meet many special needs.In this thesis,the three beams and four pillars large hydraulic press was taken for example,with some issues as mechanical strength,stiffness,stability,material conservation,overall aesthetics and practicality requirements considered,the research on structural optimization design of the large hydraulic press 3D printing model was made,and the topological optimization scheme and the design scheme of skin frame structure of the large hydraulic press 3D printing model were proposed respectively.In order to protect the shape details of models,part models were specially shelled.Shape Optimization module of ANSYS Workbench was used to optimize some model interior topologies,and Static Structural module of ANSYS Workbench was used to analyze the stress,strain,total and Y-axis deformation displacement before and after optimization to further verify whether the topology optimization results could meet the strength and stiffness requirements.Based on the plate and shell theory,material mechanics theory and different force conditions of auxiliary part models,basic dimensions of the skin frame structure were calculated and checked,then the topology optimization and design results were further split and printed.The mass variations of part models before and after the optimization and design were presented,then the feasibility and necessity of optimization design schemes on the large hydraulic press 3D printing model were verified through calculation and analysis of the mass ratios and the actual consumable mass ratios of part models before and after the optimization and design.
