Oil and gas pipeline is one of the five transportation modes in our country, which has the advantages of less transport process, less investment, shorter transportation period, larger capacity and higher transport efficiency compared with the other four transportation modes. It plays a very important role in national economy, which is why it is called "Energy blood".However, damages caused by the submarine oil and gas leakage accidents occur frequently in recent years. Results not only cause great harm to the environment and incalculable loss to national economy, but also endanger people's life safety. Therefore, submarine pipeline safety issues increase high level of concern in the community. The thesis focuses on the design of submarine pipeline corrosion detection system using non-contact measuring principle and virtual instrument technology which is on the premise of practical engineering requirement. A current voltage gradient detection technology is used in the design of hardware and software part by analysing current density distribution of the submarine pipeline's surface and the electric field distribution in the surrounding environment. The hardware is composed of data acquisition card, electrochemical signal measurement probe, amplifying circuit, remote communication circuit and independent power supply module. And the software mainly includes the design of data acquisition and storage, morphological filtering, spectrum analysis and corrosion warning function, ect.Through the system testing in the laboratory, the feasibility and compatibility of the hardware equipment and software program are proved, the testing result shows that the whole system achieves the budget targets and meets the design requirement precisely.
