Background Hypertension is the uppermost hazards of Chronic cardiovascular disease and accompanied by the functional impairments or the physical lesions like heart, brain, kidney, etc.Patients choose healthy lifestyle can lower their blood pressure, control hazards and clinical symptoms. The hypertension morbidity of the elder population in China is about49%,the totally awareness rate, treatment rate and control rate of the patients are obviously lower than that in developed country.Because of the elder patients are short of receptivity, the traditional health education intervene is lack of effects on patients’ self-efficacy and medication compliance level, then, how to enhance the self-efficacy and medication compliance of the elderly hypertension effectively is the imperative task to solve. Objective Compare the influence of motivational interviewing intervene and routine health education intervene on the self-efficacy and medication compliance of the elderly hypertension;explore the better intervening model which can enhance the self-efficacy and medication compliance of the elderly hypertension. Methods Extracted one of the community hospitals of Pingdingshan with convenient sampling method, took the 152 elderly hypertension who built profiles of hypertension in the hospital, conformed to the standards and consented to join the investigation as the objects of study, divided the patients as the intervention group and control group with random number table,to the control group, treated with routine health education intervene,to the intervention group treated with the motivational interviewing intervene, the self-efficacy and medication compliance level of the patients in the two groups before and 3 months after the intervention were assessed. After using quantitative data to establish a database, comparing the intervention effect of the two treatment methods on the self-efficacy and medication compliance level of the elderly hypertension.Using SPSS 18.0statistical software for analysis, the measurement data showed by((?)± s),the comparison between the two groups tested with u;The enumeration data showed by the frequency and proportion(%),the comparison between the groups tested with χ~2,the inspection level α=0.05.Results1.On the premise that the general demographic information balance with the clinical baseline data in the two groups, the hypertension related knowledge awareness rate, attitude change, correlation behavior accuracy,self-efficacy score and medication concept score had no significant differences between the two groups(P > 0.05)before the intervention.2.After the intervention, the hypertension knowledge awareness rate, attitude change, correlation behavior accuracy was improved than that before the intervention,self-efficacy score and medication concept score also improved.3.The hypertension diagnostic criteria, the daily salt intake, the relevant factor of the paroxysm, the factor that influence the fluctuation of blood pressure, etc.were all superior to that in control group, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P <0.01),the awareness rate of whether it can trigger other disease was superior to that in control group, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).The attitude change of whether lifelong disease, medication attitude, the life behavior change can improve the state of an illness, etc.were all superior to that in control group, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.01).The behavior of following doctor’s instruction,low-salt diet,to reduce dietary fat, blood pressure self-monitoring,emotional stability, proper sports, etc.were all superior to that in control group, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The accuracy of body weight control in intervention group was superior to that in control group, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05)4.The self-efficacy score, daily life score, medication score, treatment compliance score were all obviously superior to that in control group, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.01).The health behavior score was superior to that in control group, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).5.The score of medicine evaluation related concepts improvement was obviously superior to that in control group, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.01).The medication compliance rate in intervention group was 83.3% and that in control group 46.5%,there was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.01).ConclusionMotivational interviewing intervene and routine health education intervene can improve the lifestyle indicators and behavior compliance of the elderly hypertension, cultivate their healthy life style. The motivational interviewing intervene is obviously superior to the routine health education intervene on enhance the self-efficacy level and medication compliance rate of the elderly hypertension,it is with the positive and practical significance to prevent and cure the hypertension and suitable to popularize and apply among the elderly hypertension in community.
