Emotional intelligence is an ability to perceive、understand、regulate and manage one’s own and others’ emotions and an ability to solve problems by employing the emotions.In the report of “For the future:the Core Literacy Education of the 21 st century global experience”which was published by the World Education Innovation Summit(WISE)and Beijing Normal University on June 3th in 2016,it pointed that : the most impressive civic qualities include communication and cooperation,self-awareness and self-control and another seven qualities.The precious studies found that emotional intelligence had effects on people’s self-recognition、working performance、social adjustment、interpersonal relationship and so forth.It could be cultivated through some certain ways and methods to improve the level of the emotional intelligence.Although some achievements had been made in the research on the cultivation of emotional intelligence,it has not yet been found the intervention results about the students of rural junior middle school.As a result of it,the thesis selected a rural middle school’s students from seven and eight grades who all are from Yangcheng County,Shanxi Province as the subjects and chose the Emotional Intelligence Scale as the tool of research to investigate the current situation of rural junior middle school students’ emotional intelligence;Meanwhile,by using the single factor pretest-posttest experiment and control group design for teaching experiment.This study aimed at analyzing the present situation of rural junior high school students’ emotional intelligence and proceeding intervention to improve their emotional intelligence level,which provide more comprehensive theoretical foundation for the cultivation of emotional intelligence for rural junior high school students.Specific conclusions are as follows:(1)The distribution of emotional intelligence of rural junior high school students isrelatively balanced,most of the all are at the middle level,the total score of emotional here are barely no significance about the grade and gender.(2)The teaching intervention has a significant effect on emotional intelligence’s overall level of the rural junior middle school students,after a period of teaching intervention,the overall level of emotional intelligence of students has been significantly improved.(3)The teaching intervention has a significant effect on the emotional perception,after teaching intervention,the level of students’ emotional perception has been significantly improved.(4)The teaching intervention has a significant effect on the ability of emotional self-management,after a period of teaching intervention,the level of students’ emotional self management has been significantly improved.(5)The teaching intervention has a significant effect on the ability of managing others’ mood,after a period of teaching intervention,the level of students’ managing others’ mood has been significantly improved.(6)The teaching intervention has no significant effect on the ability of utilizing the mood,after a period of teaching intervention,the level of students’ utilizing the mood has been not significantly improved.
