The emotional intelligence is a concept developing in recent years,and its concept can trace bake to the social intelligence putting forward by Thorndike.Afterward,the people have developed this concept,like Mayer & Salovey,Bar-On,Goleman and so on,who proposed own concept,and have developed the respective theory and the scale.Mayer and Salovey's theory belongs to abilities model,but Bar-On and the Goleman's emotional intelligence theories belong to the mixed model,and they put personality,motive etc.into abilities model.The spread of emotional intelligence in China was begun after the book Emotional Intelligence by Goleman was published;and soon it obtains the rapid empirical study in our country.However,the domestic research mostly concentrates on the emotional intelligence of university students and the organizations' staff's,but few of middle-school students;especially so less of research how to improve Middle School students' emotional intelligence education.The emotional intelligence is an important factor of human's success;many researches have already confirmed the emotional intelligence has effect on the work performance,the interpersonal relationship and so on.The domain of the emotional intelligence's application is widespread,for example,we can use it in company,negotiations,education;but on the middle-school students's stage,because of its special somatopsychic characteristic,the development of self-awareness and the enhancement of independent consciousness.Middle-school student's emotion have many problems,such as,negative mood is the adolescent's primary emotional experience,and they very little ask for help from teacher and parents',and mostly used frightened,angry,sad,etc.way to deals with something.The reason why middle school students have so many emotional problems,besides the physiological and the psychological characteristic,the effect of mood intelligence also shouldn't be neglected. The empirical study results indicated that the emotional intelligence will affect middle-school student's psychologically healthy,the academic achievement and the interpersonal relationship and so on.Therefore,middle-school student's emotional intelligence education is imperative.Through the retrospection of the emotional intelligence's concept and theories,no matter which theory,the author thought the partial acknowledgment emotional intelligence is one kind of ability at least,and ability may improve through the training,therefore, sharpening the ability of emotional intelligence through the training is feasible,and some empirical study's results also have provided the evidence for the importance and the feasibility about emotional intelligence's training.So,it is important to research the emotional intelligence and provide some specific measures for quality educationFinally,this paper proposes some concrete suggestions and countermeasure on how to improve middle school students' emotional intelligence,and provides the valuable instruction on the practice of middle-school student mood intelligence education.The specific measures include,(1)According to Mayer & Salovey's viewpoint,important emotional ability occurs partially in unofficial relations between the children and their teachers,therefore the school and the teacher should play its proper role.Besides owning the emotional intelligence's basic concept and theory,the teacher also needs to have such abilities as empathy,stress management and decision-making.The school should display its education function fully,and attach importance to the training of emotional intelligence.(2)According to the effect of the emotional intelligence to the academic achievement and the interpersonal relationship,as well as Chinese tradition education influence,start emotional intelligence curriculum is very important.Besides including the basic theories and the concepts,this curriculum should also pay attention to the raise of individual internal skill mentioned in the Bar-On theory,including self-respect,assertiveness and self-actualization content,and teach the students to learn to accept themselves happily.(3)Whether according to Mayer & Salovey theory,the Bar-On theory or the Goleman theory's request,the role-playing is very vital to improve emotional intelligence,and also may say that it is the most direct way to improve emotional intelligence. Through the role-playing of schoolmates,friends,parents and teachers,it may let the students understand others' thoughts more,and also help themselves to manage and control their emotion.(4)According to the management emotional ability of Mayer & Salovey and Goleman theories,as well as impulse control ability in the stress management ingredient of Bar-On theory,it requests us to attach more importance to train the self-control ability in the emotional intelligence education process,offers the raising self-control ability curriculum and the training delay of gratification ability,especially through educating students to establish the assignment orientation,improve middle-school student's delay learning of gratification ability.5)Bar-On and the Goleman's emotional intelligence theories emphasized the interpersonal relationship skill function,therefore,through the social emotional learning,it has certain promoter action to improve middle-school student's emotional intelligence.The social emotional learning includes improve the perception and consciousness of own and others' emotional,this is mainly achieved by two ways,the non-language communication and the emotional training.Improve middle-school student's interpersonal communication ability, like middle-school student's interpersonal behavior,the skill with companion,the public relations skill to let the teacher satisfactory,the contact skill and so on.(6)Salovey & Mayer advocated,the emotional intelligence contains ability begins the good interaction between the parents and children.Empirical study's results also indicated that the family education is remarkable to the emotional intelligence's influence.Therefore,the parents select the democratic education method has the very vital role to develop the emotional intelligence, especially stress management ability.(7)According to the adaptability ingredient in Bar-On's emotional intelligence theory,as well as some empirical study's results,the way of management of middle-school student also affect the emotional intelligence's development. Therefore,in the emotional intelligence training process,we must let students manage in a correct way.We hoped that the implementation of these specific ways can let the student understand the recognition of emotion and the management's importance to study,the intelligence display,the human communication and the psychologically healthy,help student to grasp some emotional education theories,the emotional adjustment methods,and can apply these theories and methods to adjust emotion,raise the positive emotion,resist bad emotion, improve the emotional stability,cause students to obtain one tolerant and reasonable thinking way,establish a harmony interpersonal relationship with teacher,schoolmate and parents.
