Emotional intelligence is a kind of intelligence which had been ignored by researchers of traditional intelligence. It is the aims that mostly studies emotional function and the ability of solving emotional problem accompanying cognition closely in the activity of emotion, feelings, affection.AIthough there was a long history about the thought, it had been ignored by some psychologists for a long time. Emotional intelligence was advanced and researched as a scientific idea only for more than ten years. Now, the theory is being in the booming developmental period, opinions vary, unable to decide which is right.Thus, according to some problem in emotional intelligent theory presently, we had constructed the component theory or three-dimension-structure theory of emotional intelligence.At first, the research aimed at constructing the structure-model of emotional intelligence according to conceiving of theoretical framework, then to validate its rationality of the theory.On emotional intelligence theory constructed: Firstly, we defined the theoretic definition of emotional intelligence. Then, we were based on the relation of emotion and emotional information, relation of cognition and emotion, relation of intelligence and emotional intelligence, and assimilated information processing theory, we set forth whether individual emotion, feeling, affection come from individual inner or exterior in respond to relationships, they were all responding to emotional information, and emotional intelligence was defined as the ability to process and handle emotional information,and as the ability to resolve emotional problems. Secondly, we enacted the researching objects, contents and operated mode about emotional intelligence according to theoretic definition. On object dimension, it was defined as the objective extension of emotional intelligence researched, it consisted of three parts of based oneself, based the other and based ecological environment; On operant dimension, it was defined as the mode and process of psychologic operation, It consisted of three parts of perceive and experience, express and evaluate, regulate and control. On content dimension, it was defined as researching the emotion or emotional information of distinct signification, It consisted of positive emotion (information) and negative emotion (information). Each element of three dimensions was combined together, and made up of 18 types of emotion abilities, namely, factor structures of emotional intelligence component theory.About the frame conceived theoretically in demonstrational research: Firstly, we had developed the paper-pen scale and video scale of emotional intelligence according to 18 emotional abilities constructed operational definition, paper- pen scale consisted of 146 items, 1054 subjects; video scale consisted of 134 items, 906 subjects. Our aim is to validate the rationality of constructed framework. Exploratory factor analysis resulted that both paper- pen scale and video scale can be explored 18 types of emotional abilities constructed theoretically; We used confirmatory factor analysis separately to validate the validity and reliability for two scales. On the whole, every fit index accorded with the criterion of psychological surveying. It was testified that both scales possessed very good construct validity. The result showed that the whole reliability Coefficients of self-report scale was .9226; Each factor "a" coefficient was between .7434 and .9152, split-half reliability was .8717, test-retest reliability was .7911; the whole internal consistency coefficient on video scale was .9362, "a" coefficient of each factor was between .8439 and .9438, split-half reliability Coefficients was .6860, test-retest reliability was .8231.
