Along with the progress of the society,humans has entered the era of information and gradually increased the demand of mathematics.At present,mathematics is a discipline which stands side by side with social science and natural science instead of belonging to natural science.Thus,mathematical application has gained unprecedented progress.The mathematical awareness of application being an important part of quality of mathematics gradually receives more and more attention.In this case,it not only requires people to acknowledge and master enough mathematics knowledge and use the mathematics thinking,language and technology,but also needs people to know and solve problems from the aspect of mathematics so that mathematics can show its value in real daily life.From a practical point of view,people whose jobs are not closely related with mathematics do not know the value of mathematics,not to mention putting mathematics into practice.What's a worse,many students of junior high school also do not know the value of mathematics,which makes them query the importance of learning mathematics.Therefore,cultivating the students' mathematical awareness of application is a very essential problem for the present educational revolution of mathematics.According to the present educational situations,the mathematical awareness of application is overlooked in mathematics teaching because of different kinds of reasons.Mathematics curriculum standard takes the cultivation of students,application consciousness as a very important teaching objective and puts forward a series of systematic and specific requests.Students must achieve the degree to which mathematics is applied in life and is made use of to deal with the difficulties in real life.To effectively implement this teaching objective into the mathematics class is a subject that mathematics teachers and other workers must consider carefully and study hard.Based on a questionnaire survey of some junior middle school students and mathematics teachers,I take into account the teaching situation of the investigated area,analyze and summarise the middle school students' mathematics application awareness of the status quo.Besides,I find out the reason why the junior middle school students are weak in mathematical awareness of application and explore the teaching strategies to solve this problem.This dissertation is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction which introduces the research background of this dissertation.Under the premise,mthe main contents and significance of the study are briefly stated.The second part is the literature review which gives the definition of the related concepts of mathematical awareness of application.I study the research status quo of domestic and foreign related problems and introduce the theoretical basis of enhancing the mathematics application consciousness of junior high school students.The third part introduces the research object and the main research methods of this paper.The fourth part which is based on the questionnaire of teachers and students understands the junior high school students' mathematics application consciousness and application level of the status quo and explores the reason why the junior middle school students' mathematical awareness of application is weak.In the fifth part,it puts forward the teaching strategies of enhancing the mathematical awareness of application of junior middle school students.The sixth part is the summary and instrospection.According to the survey,it points out the innovations and deficiencies of this paper,and gives suggestions for further research.The research shows that junior middle school students' mathematical awareness of application is relatively weak and the application level of the students is seriously low.The causes of this phenomenon are various.Junior middle school mathematics teachers should pay attention to the students' mathematical awareness of application and make full use of teaching strategies,so they can effectively enhance the students' mathematical awareness of application and ability.
