In recent years,the frequency of natural disasters is becoming higher and higher.Among them,flood disasters occupy a large proportion of the proportion of floods,sudden floods,high risk,wide influence,seriously restricting the economic development of our country.Flood inundation is the most important characteristic of flood,and flood inundation is the key point of flood research.Study on the flood has also made great progress,research on flood include determining flooded area,flood damage assessment and flood inundation probability assessment range map,flood.With the development of space technology,geographic information system and digital elevation model technology are widely used in the study of flood inundation.With the further research,the research methods are more accurate and rich.To this end,GIS and DEM can be applied to flood inundation,and the flood inundation range can be quickly obtained,which provides the basis for the flood control decision-making of the relevant departments.In this paper,the digital elevation model?DEM?of Hubei province is selected with th e reference 30*30m and the reference coordinate system WGS1984.By using Kriking,Inverse distance weighted,spline function,natural neighbor interpolation 4 spatial interpol ation methods,It provides the basis for passive and active flood inundation.The passive flood and active flood are carried out in 5 years,10 years,20 years,50 years,100 years,5 different recurrence periods.Using ArcGIS for passive flooding analysis,It generates flood range map.The active submergence uses the seed flooding algorithm.After the analysi s of the flow direction,surface runoff and the connectivity of the lowlying land,the appro priate source point is selected for active flood.The main contents and achievements are as follows:?1?According to Kriking,Inverse distance weighted,Spline function,Natural Neighbor 4 natural neighbor interpolation method of spatial interpolation.Analysis and Compare of the interpolation results,the Kriking interpolation result is relatively stable.?2?The passive inundation analysis based on horizontal plane method,it can be used to analyze the inundation range of different water level values so as to predict the inundation range quickly and provide support for the flood control decision of the relevant departments.?3?The appropriate seed points are selected for active flooding analysis,and the seed spreading algorithm is used to study the active flooding,and the flooding range map is generated to simulate the flood.
