Research On The Design And Application Of Ink Paper Cutting In Children’s Picture Books

In recent years,the enlightenment education of children in our country has received extensive attention along with social development.Picture books are particularly important as enlightenment books.Along with the corresponding national policies,the picture book market in my country is also heating up.Currently,most children’s picture books in circulation are mainly imported from foreign countries.Although my country’s excellent original picture books are increasing,there are relatively few excellent original picture books with traditional cultural context and rich in Chinese characteristics.Therefore,it is necessary to create and design picture books that carry China’s excellent traditional culture.This topic takes "The Magical World in the Chinese Legend" children’s picture book as an example,and conducts a design practice research on the original Chinese children’s picture book.The content of the design is Chinese ancient myths and legends,and the form of expression is a combination of paper-cutting and ink-and-wash two artistic methods,reflecting the traditional Chinese art language.Let children understand Chinese legends,interpret ancient myths,and learn Chinese traditional culture from picture books.At the same time,he came into contact with the two traditional art forms of ink and wash and paper-cutting,and received the influence of Chinese excellent culture from an early age to enhance the national pride,so that the excellent traditional culture can be inherited and carried forward.The focus of the topic lies in the design concept,the form of expression of the picture book,the creation process and the design binding.The creation of a picture book design that conforms to children’s cognition and has Chinese characteristics is an exploration and practice of original children’s picture books.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter discusses the research background,basis,significance and methods of the design and application of ink-and-wash paper-cuts in children’s picture books.The second chapter is the development status and trend of children’s picture books at home and abroad,and has laid a theoretical foundation for the subsequent design practice.The third chapter focuses on the application of ink and paper-cut elements in modern design and the design concept of this topic.The fourth chapter is the design practice of children’s picture book "The Magical World in Chinese Legend".Including the creation of line drafts,cutting,dyeing and painting process;and the design of the cover,inner pages,binding and other aspects of the picture book.The last chapter is a summary of the design of this subject,and the prospect of ink and paper-cut design,which will provide a solid theoretical basis for further research in the future.
