Petrochemical enterprises play an important role in national economy and people’s livelihood.However,high-risk and frequent fire and explosion accidents have brought heavy pain to individuals and even enterprises.Fire may be influenced by many kinds of factors,but there is no denying that once it happens,it will cause unpredictable consequences.With the development of petrochemical industry in recent years,the scale of storage tank area is further expanded,as one of the high-risk places,the safety of fire in storage tank area has become a key issue at present.There are four types of tank fire,especially pool fire,which has the highest frequency.Although there is not enough damage in the early stage,the super-high thermal radiation is a great threat to personnel and adjacent storage tanks,and it will even continuously raise the level of fire accident.Therefore,Fluent computer numerical simulation technology was adopted in this paper to simulate and analyze tank area pool fire.Based on the research and development of tank fire at home and abroad,this paper has a basic understanding of the fire process in tank area and all kinds of tanks,and clarified the characteristics of tank area fire and tank fire hazard characteristics.In an open environment,the internal floating roof tank is a calculation model.Software Fluent is used to set all kinds of relevant models and parameters of pool fire under the establishment of relevant fire control equation.Based on the empirical model,pool fire is simulated and analyzed.This paper mainly studies all kinds of factors affecting the combustion of tank fire,such as wind speed,tank diameter,ambient temperature and combustion of different combustible liquids.The study of the wind speed in calm,light and strong winds is carried out,and the data results obtained from various factors simulation are compared and analyzed,such asthe change of flame temperature and thermal radiation,etc.,and the flue gas flow is analyzed under three wind speed simulations.Based on the distribution rules of thermal radiation and flue gas under the above different factors,the hazards that may be caused to the surrounding personnel and the tank can be judged,and the fire prevention and control system of the tank area can be established based on the risk analysis.The numerical simulation of tank fire is helpful for fire prevention,control and rescue.In addition,understanding the influence of various factors on pool fire can effectively ensure the safety of personnel and reduce the loss of enterprises,which is of great significance to the safe production and operation of the entire petrochemical industry.
