Therapeutic Effect Of Autologous Fat Particle Transplantation On Facial Rejuvenation And Deformity Correction

Background and Objectives:Facial profile beauty is an important part of facial aesthetics,a variety of congenital and postnatal causes of facial depression often huge psychological impact to patients,the clinical manifestations of the facial concave deformity including: unilateral or bilateral facial atrophy,facial soft tissue dysplasia,zygomatic,temporal,frontal,orbital,the sag of the jaw area,facial surgery or trauma caused by depression,upper lip too thin,too short,nasolabial groove depth,ear lobes smaller,etc.Due to the extension of human average life expectancy and the aging of the population increase rapidly,much attention has been paid to the ageing problem and facial aging is an important part of human aging,including the organizational structure of the facial aging,relaxation and contraction of change.Certain volume loss of facial bone and soft tissue can lead to facial depression and sagging of the skin,which will lead to the appearance of facial contour,deepening of nasolabial groove and middle buccal groove.The clinical manifestations of facial aging can be summarized into three aspects: tissue sagging,volume reduction and contour change.The treatment of facial aging and facial depression deformity are mainly symptomatic treatment approach,to solve the facial sag and younger use packing materials including synthetic materials,hyaluronic acid,collagen and autologous tissue.Application of synthetic material,hyaluronic acid,collagen facial filler has its drawbacks,autologous fat transplantation for its own tissue,good histocompatibility,made easy,simple operation,appearance is filled with good,long time,and will not spread disease and the price is relatively cheap,etc are widely used in clinical,is the best choice for the treatment of tissue defects.This article hopes to provide some experience for the clinical application of autologous fat transplantation and the treatment of facial aging and depression deformity.Methods:Through the retrospective analysis,from July 2013 to July 2013,15 patients admitted to the Department of Plastic surgery of China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University and 34 patients admitted to Jiaohe City Qihao plastic surgery clinic received autologous fat transplantation,a total of 49 patients.They have the same way of surgery operation and postoperative nursing.Routine follow-up was conducted at 1,3,6 months(or longer)after surgery,6 cases(12.24%)lost and 43 cases(41 females and 2 males)effective.The affected areas include frontal,temporal,zygomatic,buccal,cheek,brow,crow’s tail,nasolabial groove,lacrimal groove,lower eyelid,lip,nasal root,chin.Through comprehensive analysis,the advantages,technical points and postoperative complications of autologous fat transplantation for patients with facial aging and depression deformity were summarized.Results:All patients with a mean follow-up time not less than 6 months(ranged from 6 months to 36 months),no major complications such as infection,skin necrosis,lipoma formed,fibrosis,and calcification,asymmetry,or fat embolism).Patient satisfaction scores: 13.95%(6/43)of the patients are very satisfied,satisfied with 41.86%(18/43)of patients,37.21%(16/43)of patients think the results,said 6.98%(3/43)of patients are not satisfied,16.28%(7/43)of patients require secondary surgery.This study shows that the survival rate of fat transplantation was related to the surgical site and patient’s age.There was a difference in fat survival rate between different parts after fat transplantation,and the upper cheek,lip,chin,ear and crow’s tail generally obtained higher satisfaction,and the absorption rate of fat transplant was about 50%-90%.Conclusion:1.Autologous granule fat transplantation can be used to correct facial rejuvenation and depression deformity,and the clinical effect of the operation is significant.2.Autologous granule fat transplantation can improve skin quality and reduce fine lines in the injection area.3.The survival rate of transplanted fat was related to the surgical site,and the effect of filling the frontal,temporal and buccal parts was significant.4.The effect of fat transplantation is related to the patient’s age,and the postoperative effect is better in patients younger than 30 years old.
