Research background and purposeColorectal polyps is a type of prominent benign lesions protruding from the mucosal surface to the intestine, which is a common and frequently-occurring disease. They lack specific clinical manifestations. The main pathological types are inflammatory, hyperplastic, adenomatous polyps.Recent studies have reported that the genesis and development of Colorectal polyps is the mutations of Bmorla,APc,s MAD4,PTEN,STKll and other which cause the dysfunction of intestinal stem cells: loss of self-renewal,clonal proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.Currently polyps are recognized as precancerous lesions.Colorectal cancer is believed to originate mostly from colorectal polyps.Studies have shown that 60-90% of this cancer originated in adenomatous polyps, through the adenoma-cancer sequence. In most cases, this shift is relatively slow and takes 10-15 years. This slow growth allowed us to prevent colon cancer(CRC)by endoscopic resection of colorectal polyps.Gastric polyps is hunched in the gastric mucosa of benign neoplasm. The occurrence of gastric polyps is related to Helicobacter pylori(HP)infection, body weight, age, gender and other factors. It is closely related to the occurrence of colorectal polyps.A meta-analysis suggests that the prevalence of colorectal polyps in patients with gastric polyps is higher than in patients without polyps. This particular mechanism of association between them is not clear so far.In the past a large number of literature on the risk factors of polyps on the intestine has been studied. However, there are few studies on the risk factors of gastric polyps. What factors can increase the risk of gastric polyps in patients with colorectal polyps? How to reduce the risk of gastric polyps in patients with colorectal polyps? Who should be recommended to screening intestinal polyps in the gastric polyps patients? How to guide the behavior and treatment of the patients with gastric polyps to prevent colorectal polyps.Discovering the association between gastric polyps and colorectal polyps, screening of high-risk populations, removing polyp lesions to prevent polyps from cancer has great significance for reducing the prevalence of gastrointestinal cancer.Learning about related factors of gastric polyps and intestinal polyps can improve the detection rate of intestinal polyps and improve people's lives.Research materials and methodsPart1 General information:Retrospectively analyzing the patients from First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University who had Gastrointestinal endoscopy exam in 2017-2018,checking out the 202 cases of gastric polyps, including 126 cases of simple gastric polyps, gastric polyps and colorectal polyps in 76 cases.Gastric polyps alone as a control group.Gastric polyp and colorectal polyps in case group.Collect and analyze demography(gender, age, smoking, drinking)and clinical data(HP infection, hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, diabetes,High homocysteine)of all research subjects.Part2 Conduct statistical analysis of the above results.Datum were expressed as X±S or percentage.Among the three groups.the differences were calculated by x2 test?Logistic regression was conducted and the relative risk(OR)as well as 95%C1 were calculated.A P value of <0.05 was treated as statistical significance.Result1 The patient group consisted of 50 females(65.%)and 26 males(34.2%)with the age range of 30 to 93 years old(average 64.76±9.711 years old). The control group consisted of 94 females(74.6%)and 28 males(25.4%)with the age range of 28 to 83 years old(average 58.12±10.77 years old).2.Age distribution results: the whole staff will be divided into six groups according to the age,the case group of 61 to 70-year-old population accounted for the largest(44.7%)proportion,over the age of 71 accounted for 71%;51 to 60 in the control group,The largest proportion of the elderly population(39.7%),less than 60 years of age accounted for 60.1% of the population.Fifty-four(71%)of patients older than 60 years in the case group and 49(49.2%)of those in the control group older than 60 years old had statistical differences,P = 0.002.3Univariate analysis: Compared with the control group, age,HP infection, smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high homocysteine were statistically significant(P=0.002,0.001,0.01,0.009,0.027,0.08).There was no significant difference in gender, alcohol consumption, diabetes, triglyceride, history of cholecystectomy or gallstones(P = 0.18,0.064,0.793,0.892,0.429)4.Multivariate logistic regression analysis: The risk factors for colorectal polyps in patients with gastric polyp were age HP odds ratio(OR = 3.872,95% CI: 1.622-9.251),smoking(OR = 3.312,95% CI: 1.152-9.528),homocysteine(OR = 2.229,95% CI: 1.04-4.447),High cholesterol,(OR = 2.143,95% CI: 1.082-4.244),age(OR = 1.828,95% CI: 1.282-2.608).Conclusion1.The risk factors that correlated gastric polyps with colonic polyps are HP infection, smoking, homocysteine, hyperlipidemia, age elder than 60.The risk of descending order are: HP infection, smoking, homology Cystine,hyperlipidemia,age.2.Patients with gastric polyps, who has the merger of one or more risk factors for colorectal polyps should be colonoscopy screening as soon as possible.3.Eradicating HP,smoking cessation, losing weight and other appropriate lifestyle are recommended for patients with gastric polyps, which can reduce the large intestine polyp incidence.
