Object: To master the epidemic situation of Xinjiang Kirgiz ethnic hypertension prevalence rate, awareness rate, treatment rate, control rate and disease, analyze and investigate the risk factors of hypertension in Kirgiz residents, provide the basis for improving hypertension among residents in minority areas of prevention and control measures.Method: By using the method of multi-stage stratified random sampling,we selected 1,434 resident residents of the Kirgiz ethnic group aged 18 years and above from six villages in Harachi township and Sumutash countryside of Akchi County,Kezhou,Xinjiang.Through centralized surveys, basic information collection, physical examination, and laboratory tests were conducted.Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the main risk factors affecting the prevalence of hypertension among Kirghiz residents. Results: The survey of Kirgiz nationality hypertension prevalence rate was 13.0%,which was 14.4% for men and 11.8% for women; The standardized prevalence rate was 10.3%,the standardized prevalence rate was 10.8% for males, and the standardized prevalence rate was 9.8% for females, male and female prevalence rate of hypertension compared with no significant difference(?2=2.079,P=0.149).The prevalence rate of hypertension increases with age increasing(?trend2=147.158,P<0.001),the prevalence rate of age was highest in the age group of 65~,reached 32.6%.Different levels of education affected the prevalence of hypertension. The highest prevalence of hypertension was 15.4% for those who did not attend school/primary education, and 7.1% for those who were above high school(including secondary school)(?2=13.203,P=0.001);The prevalence of hypertension was different among residents with different marital status. The prevalence of hypertension in the married group was 13.6%,higher than the prevalence of hypertension in other groups was 10.0%(?2=2.559,P=0.110);Prevalence of hypertension varies among residents with different working conditions. The prevalence of hypertension in the unemployed group was13.3%,and the prevalence of hypertension in the group was 12.5%(?2=0.196,P=0.658).The average systolic pressure of the subjects was 120.47±15.64 mm Hg(male 123.28±15.24 mm Hg,female118.21±15.60 mm Hg),the average diastolic blood pressure was 73.34±11.07 mm Hg(male 74.04±11.13 mm Hg,female 72.77±11.00 mm Hg),and the blood pressure grading ratio was 87.0%(Normal),9.6 %(Grade 1),2.5%(Grade 2),and 0.9%(Grade 3),with no statistical difference in male and female blood pressure grading(?2=3.509,P=0.320),the constituent ratios of grade 1,2 and 3 hypertension were 73.6%,19.4% and 7.0% respectively. The rate of awareness, treatment and control of hypertension in patients with hypertension were 43.0%,26.3% and 11.8%,respectively.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age,BMI obesity, alcohol consumption and family history of hypertension were the major risk factors for hypertension. Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension among Kirks of Xinjiang is at a low level in the country, which is lower than the prevalence of Han,Kazak, and Uygur in the same region. The rate of awareness and treatment of hypertension is close to the national average and the rate of control is low.The risk factors for hypertension in Kirgiz residents are age,BMI obesity, alcohol consumption and family history of hypertension. It is suggested that the government should strengthen its guiding role in the prevention and control of hypertensive diseases, coordinate relevant departments to formulate effective publicity and prevention and control measures, vigorously carry out health education, and increase the awareness rate, treatment rate and control rate of hypertension.
