Objective: Based on collateral disease theory,Chaigui Decoction is used to treat Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome. The changes of TCM syndrome score and thyroid autoantibody(TPO-Ab,TG-Ab)level after treatment are observed, and the effectiveness and safety of Chaigui Decoction in treating Hashimoto’s thyroiditis are objectively evaluated, providing new methods and ideas for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Methods:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,63 patients(72 patients in total,9 patients falling off,63 effective patients in total)were screened in the endocrine and metabolic diseases outpatient department of the affiliated hospital of Changchun university of traditional Chinese medicine.the 63 patients were divided into a treatment group(modified chaigui decoction of traditional Chinese medicine)and a control group(oral selenium yeast tablets),with 31 patients in the treatment group and 32 patients in the control group by a simple random method,After 12 weeks of clinical observation, the therapeutic indexes such as TCM syndrome score, thyroid autoantibody(TPO-Ab,TG-Ab)titer and safety indexes such as blood routine, urine routine, liver function and renal function were recorded and statistically analyzed. Results:In this clinical observation, there is no statistical difference in sex,age comparison and age distribution between the treatment group and the control group, which is comparable. In terms of TCM syndrome points, there was no statistical difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).after treatment, the TCM syndrome points of both groups decreased significantly(P<0.01),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(p < 0.05);The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.32% and that of the control group was 65.63%.The treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).The levels of thyroid autoantibodies(TPO-Ab,TG-Ab)in the two groups had no statistical difference before treatment(P>0.05).after treatment, the levels of TPO-Ab in the two groups decreased significantly(P<0.01),and the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(p < 0.05).After treatment,TG-Ab levels in both groups decreased(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in the degree of goiter between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),but there was a significant decrease after treatment(P<0.01),and the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(p <0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.32% and that of the control group was 68.75%.the treatment group was superior to that of the control group(P<0.05),with statistical difference.During the study, the safety observation indexes of the two groups of patients were not abnormal, and there were no toxic or side effects or adverse events. Conclusion: Modified Chaigui Decoction for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients, reduce the titers of thyroid autoantibodies(TPO-Ab,TG-Ab),and is safe to treat without adverse reactions and toxic and side effects. |
