Bibliometric Research And Clinical Efficacy Evaluation On Combination Of Chinese And Western Medicine For Infertility Induced By Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective: To explore the trend of integrative medicine therapy and the medication law of Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment on infertility caused by polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)by collecting,sorting out and statistical analysis of clinical literature over the years.It also evaluates the literatures of integrative medicine therapy on infertility caused by polycystic ovary syndrome of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type and kidney deficiency and liver depression type in order to provides evidence-based medical evidence for clinical decision-making of Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine therapy.Methods: Clinical journals of integrative medicine therapy on infertility caused by PCOS in Chinese academic journals(CNKI),Wanfang Medical Online,Chinese Science and Technology Journal Full-text Database(VIP)and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(Sino Med)which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were processed by bibliometrics and data mining software.Statistical analysis was made on the external characteristics of the literature,such as age distribution,regional distribution,periodical distribution and internal characteristics,such as medicine use and acupoint use,to explore the research status and the law of clinical treatment and medication,and to evaluate the efficacy of the clinical randomized controlled trials in the treatment of infertility caused by PCOS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type and kidney deficiency and liver depression type.Results: A total of 641 articles of integrative medicine therapy on infertility caused by PCOS were included.The results of the analysis of the external characteristics of the literatures were as follows: 1)The number of the articles was generally increase;2)The articles originated from 29 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions,Guangdong,Henan and Hebei Provincial publications ranked in the top three;3)The distribution of authors and periodicals were not centralized,and the articles mostly published in Clinical Journal of Chinese Medicine,Journal of New Chinese Medicine,Maternal and Child Health Care of China and Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine;4)Guangdong,Hebei and Shandong provinces are with more fund support.Analysis of internal characteristics of the literature: 1)The top ten Chinese herbs used frequently were Danggui,Tusizi,Shudi,Xiangfu,Fuling,Gouqi,Danshen,Shanyao,Baishao,Chuanxiong;2)The top ten acupoints used frequently were Guanyuan,Sanyinjiao,Zigong,Zhongji,Zusanli,Qihai,Shenshu,Fenglong,Xuehai,Taichong,Pishu.Efficacy evaluation results: In the treatment of infertility caused by PCOS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type,1)Compared with the western medicine group,the traditional Chinese medicine group has a greater advantage in pregnancy rate and effective rate,and there is no significant difference in the cycle ovulation rate between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group;2)There are significant differences in pregnancy rate,ovulation rate,cycle ovulation rate and efficiency between the integrative medicine therapy group and the western medicine group.The integrative medicine therapy group had better curative effect than the western medicine group.In the treatment on infertility caused by PCOS of kidney deficiency and liver depression type,1)the traditional Chinese medicine group has a greater advantage in the efficiency than the western medicine group,and there is no significant difference in pregnancy rate between the two groups;2)There are statistical significance in pregnancy rate,ovulation rate,cycle ovulation rate and efficiency between the integrative medicine therapy group and the western medicine group,and the integrative medicine therapy group has a better curative effect than the western medicine group.Conclusion: 1)The research on infertility caused by PCOS shows an overall upward trend;2)The research area of infertility caused by PCOS is relatively scattered,and there is no obvious regional correlation;3)Provinces with the most fund are Guangdong,Hebei and Shandong,which may indicate that the financial support and scientific research efforts in these areas are strong,or the incidence of infertility caused by PCOS may be higher than other areas.4)Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the infertility caused by PCOS is related to dysfunction of kidney,spleen and liver and blood stasis,phlegm-dampness,and the main treatment is nourishing kidney,soothing liver,Strengthening spleen,activating blood circulation and resolving phlegm.5)TCM treatment mainly includes oral therapy and acupuncture therapy.The basic oral medicines were Danggui,Tusizi,Shudi,Gouqi,Nvzhenzi,Baishao,Shanyurou.The basic acupoints are Guanyuan,Sanyinjiao,Zigong,Zhongji,Zusanli and Fenglong.The curative effect of integrative medicine therapy in treating infertility caused by PCOS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type/kidney deficiency and liver depression type is better than western medicine group,but in ovulation induction,the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine is not better than Western medicine.The integrative medicine therapy can achieve better curative effect.At the same time,further research on ovulation induction of traditional Chinese medicine needs to be strengthened.
