With the popularization of English teaching,the English course has been taught in the third grade in most of China.Although a series of new "primary school English curriculum standards" have been emerging,a lot of English teachers in primary school still adopt traditional method to teach,such as memorizing words,reciting texts and grammar translation,following the atmosphere depressing,the bad student's study enthusiasm.It leads that the teaching efficiency is bad.Task-based Teaching Method is a new kind of interactive communication language learning method.It asks the teachers to simulate special scene,and lets the students act as a specific role.The use of the method in the primary school can both activate the classroom atmosphere and can promote the students English comprehensive ability enhancement.Chinese Education Department advocated to using task-based Teaching Method in English curriculum teaching of primary schools in 2014.This paper,taking Wuhan Jiyuqiao primary school as an example,investigates the use of Task-based Teaching Method in the English teaching in primary school and analyzes the obstacles exist in the implementation of Task-based Teaching Method and puts forward relevant opinions and suggestions.Firstly,this paper introduces the current situation of English teaching in China as well as the generation and popularity of Task-based Teaching Method,analyzes the purpose and significance of this study.This paper also expounds the research status at home and abroad of task teaching method.In addition,we introduce the research methods in this article,including literature research method and questionnaire investigation method.Secondly,this paper expounds the definition,characteristics and classification of task teaching method,and analyzes the theory basis of the implementation of task teaching method from teaching design theory,driving by student theory and perceive theory?What is more,this paper,taking students in grade three,four,five,six as investigation objects in Wuhan Jiyuqiao school,introduces the investigation process in detail.By the means of questionnaire survey to students,the interview to teachers and attending the courses personally,this paper investigates the usage of Task-based Teaching Method in the course of English in primary schools.Then we analyses the results of the survey and obstacles that exist in the implementation of Task-based Teaching Method from student,teacher and external factor.Finally,on the basis of empirical study,suggestions are proposed in this paper,including(1)carrying about Task-based Teaching Method by school,teacher and parents;(2)comminuting with the practical situation of class and students,teacher creates new teaching form,such as the use of multimedia and extension courses to outdoor.(3)During the task,teacher controls the task process to ensure the effectiveness of the task.
